My Mock 2.0:

My goal is more coverage sacks, more pressure up the middle, and weapons for the offense. I'm taking 2 FA QB's but expect a 2-year plan, taking my franchise QB in 2014. I would trade any pick or player to pick my QB next year.

1-Dee Milliner CB 28 Alabama 6'1" 196 (Jarvis Jones OLB if he's there)

2-Jonathan Jenkins DT34 6 Georgia 6'3" 351 (your nose tackle for 3-4)

3-Jamie Collins OLB 8 SMU 6'3" 240 (Logan Ryan CB here if we took Jones in RD1)

4-Cobi Hamilton WRP 11 Arkansas 6'3" 209

5-Michael Williams TE 89 Alabama 6'6" 270

6-Keith Pough OLB 13 Howard 6'2" 241

UDFA:

--Brad Sorensen QB Southern Utah 6'4" 235

--Sean Renfree QB Duke 6'4" 225

--Alec Lemon WRP Syracuse 6'2" 205

--Darrin Moore WRF Texas Tech 6'4" 216

--Marlon Brown WRF Georgia 6'4" 216

--Cassius Marsh (Jr.) DT43/TE UCLA 6'3" 290

--Ronnie Wingo RBC Arkansas 6'3" 231

--Dominick Le Grande SS Marshall 6'3" 210

--Graham Pocic OC Illinois 6'5" 308

--James Morris WILB Iowa 6'2" 228

--D.C. Jefferson TE Rutgers 6'5" 250

--Zach Boren FB Ohio State 6'0" 245

--Ryan Allen P Louisiana Tech 6'2" 215

--Dustin Hopkins K Florida State 6'2" 190

Great idea. Maybe we should even trade up to get Milliner if need be. We must leave no stone unturned to continue wasting resources and to lose football games.

I'm doubtful that we will draft a CB this year.

Ryan/Pettine nearly spent their entire first draft(2009) focusing on QB(Sanchez)

Marrone is an Offensive minded HC.....so I'm thinking they'll go after the QB they want(if there is one).

Don't get your hopes up from that though as Ryan/Pettine seem totally enamoured with CBs.

Having already a Star CB in Revis, in 2010 they traded for Cromartie(2011 2nd round pick).....AND used their 1st round pick(29) on Wilson.

I'm hoping Gilmore becomes very good.....and we re-sign McKelvin & he becomes very solid.

If those things don't happen we could be seeing several more 1st round CBs in our 2014-2016 drafts......and likely see one regardless.

couple of things i thing rhodes is a pettine cb not milner, love the bama te in the 5th the duke qb is a big time sleeper imo he gets drafted 4-6 rounds

I have thought a lot about this. Milliner played a lot of cover 2 in college, and it remains to be seen how he handles more man-to-man responsibility. He has the size and physicality, but does he have the technique? Rhodes on the other hand has proven to excell in man coverage...shutting down ND's Michael Floyd in 2011, and fairing pretty well against Clemson's arsenal of WR's this year.

FWIW...many draft prospects have Desmond Trufant as the #2 CB. Given the option between the three, picking at #8, I would take Milliner without hesitation. I still would prefer, however, taking either the best offensive lineman or the best pass rusher available with our 1st round pick.

Astro I appreciate all your effort...But Bro...Putting up a Bills Mock that does not have a QB taken in the 1st 3 rounds is completely ignoring some glaring reality...They will take a QB by no later than the 3rd, and chances are they'll take one with their 1st pick (I'm not saying that pick will necessarily be at #8 though)...

Also...Milliner will go in the Top 7...He's clearly the #1 CB prospect, and that means something in almost any Draft...If Joe Haden can go #7 overall you better believe that Milliner will do the same or better...

Keep up the work though Astro!!!

I could see this playing out. CB is a need. It sucks but it is. LB more easily addressed without FA. And QB we are going to be left short in 2013 either way the story goes.

If you don't have a QB and can't stop the run, only the worst GMs would draft a CB. That's softball fellas.

And FWIW, I think the kid Rhodes from Florida State looks better than Milliner.
