RyanC883 Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Charles Woodson anyone? Could help the development of Searcy, and also provide a 1-2 year stop gap at the safety/CB position.

Johnny Hammersticks Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Definitely, but I'd much rather have LaRon Landry
JPS Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Only Searcy can help with the development of Searcy. Either he can play or not. They just got rid of a 30+ Safety an it wasn't to pick up another 30+ even more expensive safety. Not even worth consideration.
Hotpockets28 Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Ugggggh I mean really why pick up a ancient safety???? Rather have laron landry....much better player atm..much younger plus experienced in pittines defense...
Heitz Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 I'm gonna get the papers, get the papers. And agree w everyone, let's bring in Landry, a guy that can help teach the system...
Johnny Hammersticks Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Not sure why you all are turning your nose up at Charles Woodson. Yes, the guy clearly is on the wrong side of 30, but at the right price/contract terms, he still is light years better than George Wilson IMHO. In any event...this is a moot point. Both Woodson and his agent have made it very clear that he wants to go to an immediate contender
Mango Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Charles Woodson anyone? Could help the development of Searcy, and also provide a 1-2 year stop gap at the safety/CB position. no he couldn't. he was moved from corner to safety because he was too slow, he couldn't cover anymore. after a year at safety he is cut because he is still too slow and can't cover anymore. the guy had a tremendous career but he is sadly just a name at this point
KD in CA Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Clearly Woodson can still play and is a leader, the Pack only cut him as a cap move. That said, Woodson would only consider coming to Buffalo if he couldn't find a job with a winner. And I doubt he'll have any trouble there.
boyst Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 The pride of Fremont, Ohio, and Fremont Ross HS. He was absolutely amazing to watch in HS
TakeYouToTasker Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 I can't see spending the money it would cost to sign Woodson on a saftey, given that we're already going to be breaking the bank for Byrd this off-season. We can't commit that many resources to safties.
Malazan Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 1. Has played Football at some level before 2. Is not currently a member of Bills 3. Make thread about signing him You crossed off the whole list. Sweet.

VirginiaMike Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 The question is why would Woodson sign with the Bills not if the Bills should go after Woodson. He obviously only has a year or two at best left and he would want that to be with a Super Bowl contending team. I love the Bills, but they are not a Super Bowl contender, given the roster.

This is a complete stab in the dark, but I'm guessing it's mobile users who don't see the instant refresh on their devices so they click "submit" again.

Probably right. I also think a few people have mentioned not seeing their posts immediately (here and over at the Sabres board) and might be doing the same thing.
