Jim in Anchorage
For reasons explained on my thread in PPP, I need to replace my boiler and hot water heaters. The existing set up was a stand alone boiler and 2 hot water heaters. The plumber tells me no one uses that set up anymore, he's going to replace it with combo boiler/hot water system. This is a 2400 sq foot building with 4 apartments. Boiler needs to keep it warm to -25. Anyone have any thoughts/experience with the combo setup? Edit- to save everyone the trouble of pointing out I misspelled combination I know.
KD in CA
If you have heavy water the heating coil can accumulate deposits and reduce effectiveness.
The Poojer
You spelled 'combination' wrong... that wasn't too much trouble at all.

mead107
My brother in-law has had one for 25 plus years. Just had some work done on it last year.first time he ever had anything done to it other than seasonal tune up.

I was told the efficiency [as in the size of your gas bill] is better also.
