truth on hold Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 He also married his cousin Its all "relative"
We Come In Peace Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Einstein was a smart man. He was a self proclaimed socialist. He believed that we needed to reverse the idea of individualism and replace it with a sense of community. ...but he added that in order to reach that Utopia, first you had to a create a planned economy that would enslave the people. It was a joke. he hated politics. He basically said that in order to cure the patient, we have to kill him. Yes, and as a liberal minded professor he was "closed minded" as Nanker likes to joke.
DC Tom Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 I don't get it Einstein argued against quantum physics because he didn't watch Fox News. Duh.
We Come In Peace Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Einstein argued against quantum physics because he didn't watch Fox News. Duh. And because, like all liberal minded professors, he was so closed minded. Incapable of thinking outside the box.
....lybob Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 And because, like all liberal minded professors, he was so closed minded. Incapable of thinking outside the box. This is true we are all incapable of thinking outside the box but some boxes are bigger than others and Einstein had a huge box relatively speaking.
We Come In Peace Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 This is true we are all incapable of thinking outside the box but some boxes are bigger than others and Einstein had a huge box relatively speaking. Well... he liked to chase box. I know that much.
Nanker Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 And because, like all liberal minded professors, he was so closed minded. Incapable of thinking outside the box. You're absolutely correct In that assertion. As great a mind as his was, he refused to embrace String Theory in his pursuit of a unified field theory that fit his preconceptions.
Koko78 Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 ...he refused to embrace String Theory in his pursuit of a unified field theory that fit his preconceptions. What an idiot.
We Come In Peace Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 You're absolutely correct In that assertion. As great a mind as his was, he refused to embrace String Theory in his pursuit of a unified field theory that fit his preconceptions. This is why we get a long. Well done.
unbillievable Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 You're absolutely correct In that assertion. As great a mind as his was, he refused to embrace String Theory in his pursuit of a unified field theory that fit his preconceptions. I just find it funny that the guy just made stuff up in his head and most of it ended up being true.
DC Tom Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 I just find it funny that the guy just made stuff up in his head and most of it ended up being true. He actually didn't. Even Einstein's works were derivative (Lorentz, Gauss, Maxwell, etc.)
....lybob Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 He actually didn't. Even Einstein's works were derivative (Lorentz, Gauss, Maxwell, etc.) almost everyone's work is (except Magox who only has original thoughts) but for the rest of us dwarfs this is an appropriate quote ( or at least an appropriated quote) "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants."
Nanker Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 He actually didn't. Even Einstein's works were derivative (Lorentz, Gauss, Maxwell, etc.) Not to mention his first wife.
