TheMadCap
Here is a little something to keep you up at night. Asteroid 2012DA14 is approximately 50m (160ft) and would explode with the with about the equivalent magnitude of the Tunguska Event. This is easily powerfull enough to reduce a major Earth city to dust. The kicker? It was discovered in late February last year. There would be little anyone could do to prevent such an impact. Can you imagine the panic if this were coming down near Moscow, New York, or London? Edited February 15, 2013 by TheMadCap

The Poojer
they say that the reason so many people had dashboard cam shots of this event is because driving is so horrendous in russia and they have a huge problem with police corruption and the dash board cams help squash heavy handed traffic stops http://mashable.com/2013/02/15/why-russians-have-dash-cams-caught-meteor/
