Maybe I am their demo..I just find it really funny...

I actually think this is prob the worst show I have ever seen. Bad dialogue corny jokes just nothing funny at all. Then again at 31 and make I'm probably not their target demographic...

I like it. It's not fantastic but the cast & writers seem to have a good time making fun of themselves. I read that Bob Clendenin ("Tom") was really popular on the set and everyone kept pressuring the writers to have him more involved. Now he gets to come inside.

I have seen it a few times, when it was on ABC, while I didn't think it was awful, it is rare that I will commit time to a show one of the "big three (4)" networks... I know it is on another channel now (TNT?), but, alas there are too many other good shows on to follow it...perhaps a marathon on TV Land in 10 years is the way to go! Right now, the only network series I watch, and not even regularly, is the "Mindy Project" which I think is pretty funny. Used to watch "The Office", but it is almost unwatchable now...

The main draw for "Cougar Town", for me, would be Christina Miller...I used to think she was smoking hot on the old "Drew Carey Show"....she still looking good, but it is obvious plastic surgery has had it's influence. Courtney Cox never did much for me... I

Christa Miller was on the first issue of Maxim:

"The Office" was finished when Steve Carrell left but that's the way it should be. The original British version was all about David Brent (Ricky Gervais). It probably held on for a season or two too long but I'm okay dealing with newer characters like Erin (Ellie Kemper, getting her own NBC show next season) and others. I doubt "The Farm" will do well but I'll give it a shot.

. Just like two broke girls every other major network sitcom. Another stupid show

Fixed.

Seriously; the predictable and sanitized humor just seems so repetitive in all network shows. I can't think of one truly funny show that has debuted on the major networks since the turn of the century.

Don't Trust The B word In Apartment 23 is good, so of course they've canceled it before the first season was even done.

And yes, 2 Broke Girls is bad. About every third line in the show is a sexual reference.

Yeah...should have ended it when Carrell left. I loved all the "supporting" characters, but they do not carry a show. Ed Helms, in particular, is just painful to watch on that show...I will be honest, I stopped watching after the Halloween episode this season...will likely catch them someday in re-runs (it is on about 3 different stations where I am, back to back episodes)... do like Erin, and used to find the Angela character hilarious...but the more they are on, the less true to their original character they become, the less funny the show is.

The original British show was funnier...the Brits, in general, seem to realize that less is more sometimes.

The worst part of my week used to be the 10 seconds after Modern Family, when I'd be scrambling for the remote during the Cougar Town cold-open. It became a joke between my wife and I: No no no no no!! Turn it off, turn it off! FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST TURN! IT! OFF!

What's great: I heard two other people say the exact same thing--my mom and Adam Carolla.

Since I transitioned to Hulu Plus, the problem (thank God) has resolved itself.

In the first few episodes of "Cougar Town" it looked like Christa was still recovering from Botox injections.

A comedy I really like is "Happy Endings." I hope it doesn't get canceled.

then you have not seen Modern Family, because it is one of the, if not THE, funniest shows that has EVER been on major networks

30 Rock also had a great run, never to much fan fare though

Arrested Development was also hilarious (i only watched the ep's on netflix never while on TV so Im not positive, but I thought it was on network)

Other sitcoms that are decent and currently on network: Big Bang Theory and Parks and Rec and Happy Endings

I found 30 rock highly overrated, the only thing ever funny on it was Tracy Morgan.

Arrested Development was good, it was originally on Fox before being canceled, and then years later relaunched on Netflix

Parks and Rec is another one that I think is even more highly overrated then 30 Rock, its just not funny

I know its way to trashy for the elitists here...and I am under no illusions that it in anyway compares to the sopranos and breaking bad, but I really enjoy watching it...I know Courtney Cox is ugly now...but she still does it for me...

its not that its too trashy, or that most people here are elitists, its that the majority of the people here have a penis, and are over the age that if they wanted something to beat off to older woman, can easily obtain actual porn and no longer have to do it by watching tv shows and immagining or scrambled porn channels.
