As bad as Robert Royal was (and he did suck elephant), besides the 37 games he started in Buffalo, he also started 29 games in Washington previous to the Bills and 15 games for Cleveland after the Bills.

That's 81 games started in the NFL. Also he was one of the league's best blocking tight ends.

He honestly doesn't belong on the list.

In his place, I nominate Eason Ramson.

Similarly Kelsay sucks big time but A) he's not really a linebacker and B) he has started 119 games in the NFL.

Clearly he's not the guy for this team we're assembling.

In his place, I nominate Paul Guidry.

Mark Brammer was a pretty good tight end.

The others you listed are certainly are more "deserving" than Robert Royal.

Brammer was a prototypical tight end for that era, and was pretty good I thought. Hunter sucked, and Tim Euhus...e got Royal beat on the suck intrude scale by a mile,

Brammer's the only one of those guys I don't remember that well. Euhus definitely makes Royal look like Antonio Gates.

OG Joe Panos

What a waste of money.

I find it interesting that a lot of posters on this board have named a lot of terrible O-Lineman in this thread, especially recent players.

Yet there are some posters who think that if the Bills lose Andy Levitre, that it would not be a big deal, because replacing a Guard is not that difficult.

Spencer Johnson started several games at LOLB after Kelsay was hurt in 2011. Look up the box score for the Redskins game for example. They list him as DE but they have 3 DEs starting. He was Kelsay's replacement as the "hybrid" LOLB/DE. He actually played pretty well in that game but was woefully out of position for the rest of the year. Again, I'm not proposing that we put Johnson in at LB. I suggest we actually show a OLB at this position.

well done. thanks a ton for the link. i agree, id rather have a real lb there, i dont think its fair to put experiments there, including kelsay, so hopefully we come up with one soon

thanks again for the link. its a little tough looking all these up over and over again

anyway, i think tim euhus beats ramson so for now we are going with him

btw- i dont want to count true blocking te's (like our current lee smith), unless they were really bad at that too, which means they likely would never even start, but if you see somebody that was a true blocking te lets make sure we specify that so i dont include them

I believe that Richie Lucas a QB from Penn State was the first, first rounder the Bills ever took. He was awful. I think that draft set the tone for most of those that followed.

haha buster barnett, i forgot about him. he and euhus have close to identical stats with euhus catching fewer so unless somebody can give a reason we go with euhus for now

Reggie Germany.

LB "prospects"

Jay Foreman

Jeff Posey

Reggie Torbor

Maybe some from the 70s and early 80s that others can remember better...

Others:

Trey Teague

Pierson Prioleau (Gregggggo's obsession)

Mickey Washington (CB from 80s)

Reggie Germany.

good candidate but germany was a 7th rounder who had 12 rec in only 1 start, while tuttle had 24 catches in 4 starts and was a massive first round bust so i think that should be the tie breaker

musta missed that. was he worse than jerry crafts tho?

Pierson Prioleau (Gregggggo's obsession)

i considered him but i dont remember him being as bad as tillman and his stats were better

I nominate SB XXVI starter Dwight Drane

ah dwight drane. i forgot about him. yeah he was worse than tillman

but was he a free safety? he replaced a strong safety (smith) for that game, but that might not matter
