Logical Reasoning Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Check your history books Frank and you'll see that in superbowl twenty-five and many others, the best team doesn't always win. and/or Your team chose not to play the best football they could have played in the biggest, most watched sporting event of the year.
vincec Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 It's not who has the best team, it's the team that plays best on Sunday. The 49ers didn't even play a full half of their best football let alone a whole game. They have no one to blame but themselves.
truth on hold Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 The best team is the one that wins the game. That's why the game is played.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 The best team is the one that wins the game. That's why the game is played. much much better avatar Joe oh and the Ravens were the better team to the OP
VirginiaMike Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 And the reason that the subject of this post is Frank Gore is why?? It's not the team who is best on paper who always wins, it's the team that was best on the field that day -- that's why they play the game.

Because of the single elimination format , sometimes anything can happen . It's a pity football can never have a series format like baseball , basketball, hockey . It makes it less likely that there are upsets since the more talented team tends to emerge victorious in those series . Edited February 5, 2013 by prissythecat

Frank Gore is making headlines with his the better team lost they got lucky type rhetoric. sour grapes.
GRHater69 Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Sorry Frank Gore, but your "better" team only really played one good quarter, and it was the third quarter at that. The Ravens were the better team the rest of the way, and your offensive coaches let you down with questionable play calling at the end of both halfs.
Malazan Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 It's a stupid comment, but the guy just lost the Super Bowl. It's understandable.
seadog Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Gore's performance was one of least remarkable of any running back i can remember in the SB. What did he end up with like 25yds on 5 carries, weak.

What did he end up with like 25yds on 5 carries, weak. weak? 19 carries, 110 yards, 5.8 ypc, 1 TD Maybe if they gave him the ball a few times when it was 1st and goal in the 4th Q this game would've ended differently.
