TakeYouToTasker Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 (edited) This is easily the best commercial I've seen in years. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sillEgUHGC4 Edited February 4, 2013 by TakeYouToTasker
Prickly Pete Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I didn't notice any migrant workers in that Ram commercial. After a few "God made(s)..." I was overcome with an urge to clean my gun, then realized I don't own one!.
Buftex Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Yeah, I agree. I was bummed it was just for a truck...but i gotta admit, got a little choked up during it.

Dean Cain Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I drive a Ford truck. This commercial sucked.
Maury Ballstein Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I thought boyst was the guy in the commercial who missed his Clydesdale ??
B-Man Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I agree with the OP, It was a great commercial. The only one that really held your attention. .
eball Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Dodge "farmer" commercial was racist/sexist. What, there are only white male farmers in this country?
26CornerBlitz Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 (edited) Dodge "farmer" commercial was racist/sexist. What, there are only white male farmers in this country? Ummm, there was a Black Farmer in the Commercial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sillEgUHGC4 FYI, at 49 seconds. Edited February 4, 2013 by 26CornerBlitz
Nanker Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 God is dead. Nobody bothered to attend the funeral.
We Come In Peace Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 A lot of love for the farmer one. That's surprising, or maybe not. Talk about manipulative. Taking the last remaining shred of true americana, a culture that's under siege from all angles and dying a slow and painful death, then using it to sell cars. I found it shameful.
Joe Miner Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I liked the commercial. Was kinda disappointed when it turned out to be a truck commercial.
eball Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Ummm, there was a Black Farmer in the Commercial. FYI, at 49 seconds. Damn, so there was. I fell asleep during that commercial so not surprised I missed the 1.0 out of 120 seconds they showed someone not white.
We Come In Peace Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Loved the Paul Harvey "Farmer Ad." for Dodge Pick-ups. Straight forward touch of Americana. Don't see enough stuff on TV that shows admiration and respect for eachother. But it wasn't showing admiration or respect for farmers or the viewers. It was manipulating you into thinking that's what they were doing when in reality they were commercializing the decay of the only true slice of Americana left. What's destroying independent farmers? Big, corporate Agro. I'm sure Monsantos got a big chuckle out of that ad.

ExiledInIllinois Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 (edited) Shameful is what it was. Manipulative and shameful. Wake up, people. Even I... YES I... Picked up on that doosy Harvey gave in 1978 to the youth farmers! Then it was Chrysler... WHO got bailed out! (yet, to their credit refinanced out from the US gov't) OH MY! Shameful is an understatement. But heck, who cares... Galvanized the truck buying crowd in Montana. Last year they got the left! Hey, if it works! Edited February 4, 2013 by ExiledInIllinois
