Wings and Beer Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 We are all aware of our QB need, and the lack of top-tier QBs in the draft. My question then, if we go somewhere other than QB in the first, who would be your first choice? Please do not turn this into a "it has to be a QB" thread. You must pick someone other than a QB. Make standard assumptions about the first 7 picks. My choice would be Ogletree, even if the Irish Catfish is still on the board. It is my feeling that the D was the number one issue on this team. The Stache had a good amount to do with that, but lack of quality LBs was our Achilles heal. Bring me the best MLB in the draft.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Eric Fisher, LT, Eastern Michigan. IF he's still there at #8, he's the best player available IMO. Ogletree is intriguing, and LB is a huge need, but I don't think his "value" is anywhere near Fisher's.
Nanker Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 In a draft absolutely loaded with Defensive stars and exceptionally weak at QB, it would be retarded for the FO to draft a QB at 8. They're obviously drafting Nassib.
playman Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 fisher, ogletree, even allen. or, if they cannot come to terms with levitre, warmack. but i like ogletree most
#34fan Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 If I were picking today, -It'd be the Man-Purse. All this catfish foolishness is disturbing, but Teo can play. Ogletree also has 1st round talent, but not as much instinct, or lateral movement as I like out of a MLB. After that, I'd grab a kid like DJ Swearinger for SS in the second, Then perhaps Devonte Holloman 4-3OLB in the third F___, a quarterback. -There's MAYBE two worth taking before the 4th round.
Rob's House Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Gotta take Bjoern Werner if he's there. He won't be, but if he were.
bobobonators Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Werner #1, if he's not there: Jarvis Jones #2, if he's not there: Dion Jordan #3
box0life Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 The pick will depend on whether or not Levitre can be signed. If not, take Eric Fisher if available. If we lock up Levitre, then we go with either Dee Milliner to solidify the other lock down corner position which is needed in Pettine's defense, or take best available LB.
Cotton Fitzsimmons Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Gotta take Bjoern Werner if he's there. He won't be, but if he were. Are you suggesting pairing Werner with SUPER MARIO?
turdferguson Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 How about barkevous Mingo just cause I like that name
Rob's House Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Are you suggesting pairing Werner with SUPER MARIO? Oh Yeah
RuntheDamnBall Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 If it isn't a QB, I hope it's Wings and Beer.
Rob's House Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 If it isn't a QB, I hope it's Wings titties and Beer. fixed
RuntheDamnBall Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 fixed A man will take what he can get.
John from Riverside Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I dont want to force the QB in the 1st....none of these QBs looked ready at the Senior Bowl...... We needed LB's BEFORE we brought in Pettine and his 3-4 attacking defense......take a LB in the 1st and a QB in the 2nd
Buffalo Barbarian Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Eric Fisher, LT, Eastern Michigan. IF he's still there at #8, he's the best player available IMO. Ogletree is intriguing, and LB is a huge need, but I don't think his "value" is anywhere near Fisher's.
Uncle Joe Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I know the Falcons aren't in the Super Bowl but I heard something about them having mostly 1st round picks on the O-Line. That being said resign Levitre and pick Chance Warmack. Then address our other needs in the later rounds QB, LB, WR, TE.
mob16151 Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Im leaning towards either Ezekial Ansah,or Milliner.
