dayman Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Revis will not be worth whatever you have to give for him + his pay....plain and simple
Rob's House Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 It'd be nice to have him but I'd want any trade conditioned on the ability to get a long term deal done - and one that won't kill the cap.
boyst Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 It'd be nice to have him but I'd want any trade conditioned on the ability to get a long term deal done - and one that won't kill the cap. itd be better to watch the Jets eat that salary...
Best Player Available Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Revis will not be worth whatever you have to give for him + his pay....plain and simple I think you're right here. Is Mario worth his salary? No way. A improved, but just slightlyover a young Aaron Schobel IMO. revis would have the ability to be possibly be more bang for the buck. Since he maybe is at least top 3 at his position. No way the bean counters at OBD would even run the numbers on two over payed free agents. Too bad Nix could not fulfill his promise of building through the draft.
truth on hold Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 If i were Jets Id trade him for a 2nd in a heart beat. And if i couldnt get that a 3rd this year and conditional 4th to 3rd next year. This just makes so much sense for them. Only thing I can see getting in the way (assuming they have a trading partner) is Rex, because hes had such a thing for the guy and this would be a clear indication to everyone 2013 is a rebuild year (not like it isnt already but we know jets are into appearances)
Meark Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 You guys are all forgetting something.. We don't sign CB's to big contracts.. (Ralph is cheap remember) we let them walk and draft rookies in the 1st round.

mrags Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 We would have to give up too much for a player that would resent the Bills, hold out the first chance he got, not resign, and be a big baby again and get a hangnail that keeps him out for the year.

Dr. Trooth Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Good luck. What team would want to rent him for a year coming off an acl?
truth on hold Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Not even close. Mario has the ability to dominate, Schobel was a good player, but not even in the same conversation as Mario It's true. Schoebel was more mark Anderson than Mario
aristocrat Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 coming off an acl tear it should be relatively cheap to get him. Key word is should....cowboys, raiders etc would be in on trading for a big name like him. If we need a db we get one in free agency and keep our picks.
NewEra Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Revis will not be worth whatever you have to give for him + his pay....plain and simple If you trade for him and win a Super Bowl, its most definitely worth it.
CardinalScotts Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Sounds like Woody is going back to counting his money-- and the jets back to sucking. You had a good little two year run
Punch Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Revis will not be worth whatever you have to give for him + his pay....plain and simple I'd like for the Bills to at least inquire ---- but assuming they're serious about using "football analytics" to determine market value efficiency, you're probably right and they'd almost certainly not make the trade.
truth on hold Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 If you trade for him and win a Super Bowl, its most definitely worth it. So who are the teams who felt theyre secondary held them back from winning it this year? Probably a good place to start looking for probable trading partners.
