C.Biscuit97 Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 i hope he throws passes from his knees again. Remember that time Mike Vick threw a football out of the stadium?
Luxy312 Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 Can you actually make a comeback if you never really succeeded? Just asking...
Mr. WEO Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 closest thing to an update - a photo. still huge, but even at a good weight he will look like a freak of nature. http://deadspin.com/...ery-s-458270777 ps those shorts must be 4 feet long. jeeeeze. This thread has made a more impressive comeback than its subject! I bet he purchased at leat one item from every one of those vending machines on his way to bounce that check.
NoSaint Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 Remember that time Mike Vick threw a football out of the stadium? how far do you think (either normally, or on bended knee) jamarcus could throw one of those nerf spiral vortex footballs that kids can launch like 300 yards and how loud would the little whistle be?
Simon Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 how far do you think (either normally, or on bended knee) jamarcus could throw one of those nerf spiral vortex footballs that kids can launch like 300 yards and how loud would the little whistle be? I'm guessing with that massive arm he could probably get it a good 10-20 yards out there before his gravitational field pulled it back in.
truth on hold Posted April 3, 2013 Author Posted April 3, 2013 JaMarcus Russell drops 27 lbs. in comeback attempt Now at what he calls the halfway point in his journey, he is down to 288 pounds, hoping to shrink to 270. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000156954/article/jamarcus-russell-drops-27-lbs-in-comeback-attempt
Saint Doug Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Can you actually make a comeback if you never really succeeded? Just asking... Good point. He wants to come back to being a huge bust.

billsfan_34 Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Should bills at least give him a work out? http://m.nfl.com/news/0ap1000000129925/ Don't you have to once be successful in the NFL to make a comeback?

I'll givehim credit on losing the weight. It looks like he is really committed to getting back in he league. I still dont think he makes it but I give him serious props for losing that much weight
papazoid Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 I hear he is going to celebrate with some "purple drank" or "sizzurp".
RK_BillsFan Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 From what i remember of him, he always seems to do well in practice but had problems in games. Also, what does it hurt to try him out. Do you think he is worse than Aron Crop or whoever the trick throw QB from that viral video we have on our roster?

If he gets his weight down, maybe ill take a serious look at him
NoSaint Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 At his current weight, I'll take Corp. If he gets his weight down, maybe ill take a serious look at him and even then, hes several years removed from real play.... thats got to be incredibly hard to overcome, especially for a guy that struggled last go around. to not just get back to what you were, but need to be much better without consistent practice, training, or live gameplay... decks very stacked even without the weight.
truth on hold Posted April 5, 2013 Author Posted April 5, 2013 JaMarcus Russell reportedly attracts NFL interest "I've been following his comeback story pretty closely," one NFC scout told CBSSports.com's Mike Freeman on Thursday. "I think a lot of teams are. Good chance he gets a second shot." http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000157195/article/jamarcus-russell-reportedly-attracts-nfl-interest?campaign=Ext_Email_1st10_Daily&cvosrc=Ext.Email.1st10.Daily
Hsp08 Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GOgkbYUsNs It's worth the 12 minutes of watching if you have not seen it on ESPN. I really hope he is sincere in his comeback. I would not be against the Bills bringing him in for a tryout when that time does come.

Luxy312 Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Ja-normous blew his chance already. I have no desire to see him in a Bills uniform. Might as well call Ryan Leaf, Ryan Leaf, and J.P. Losman back for a tryout.
