BRAWNDO Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 As per Tim Graham's Press Coverage, Stevie thinks Fitz should have some competition at QB next year. Quite a change from his statements during the season. http://blogs.buffalonews.com/press-coverage/2013/01/stevie-johnson-ryan-fitzpatrick-should-have-qb-competition.html
PromoTheRobot Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 You can't take everything a player says as gospel. SJ is not going to bag on Fitz mid-season even if he thought he sucked PTR
AC4 IN ATL Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Stevie is tweeting about how we need to resign Byrd and now this? Is he our GM? Does he work in the front office? He needs to worry about how he's going to improve his game and keep "what he thinks" to himself.
infernus Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Hopefully he's ready for some WR competition next camp also, even he must realize we need it.
jumbalaya Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Hopefully he's ready for some WR competition next camp also, even he must realize we need it. we had a legit #2 and #3 before anyone will threaten his spot.
Mr. WEO Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Hopefully he's ready for some WR competition next camp also, even he must realize we need it. Bingo

So the guy talks about the team he cares about and works for on twitter ? Isn't that what it's for ? Embrace technology, it's not that bad Edited January 23, 2013 by Ryan L Billz

Offside Number 76 Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 He is right. Fitz needs competition (actually, a replacement). He also needs some competition himself, unless he suddenly stopped dropping game-winning TDs in endzones. What, he thought we forgot?

dayman Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Stevie may not have spoken up during the season but his body language was clear as day....he was not happy with the QB play all season long

CardinalScotts Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 spend the time working on your hands, cut your drops in half would be a good goal
Hapless Bills Fan Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Hopefully he's ready for some WR competition next camp also, even he must realize we need it. This. spend the time working on your hands, cut your drops in half would be a good goal Watch some film, realize that WR on other teams do manage to catch balls that aren't perfectly thrown to them - leap, dive, come back for the ball. There's more to being a top-eschalon WR in the NFL than always being open.
bowery4 Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 This. Watch some film, realize that WR on other teams do manage to catch balls that aren't perfectly thrown to them - leap, dive, come back for the ball. There's more to being a top-eschalon WR in the NFL than always being open. Hopeful. I rarely disagree with you about much but Stevie does all of things you mentioned better than anyone (especially coming back for a pass) we have had in years. I do agree he drops some clutch game winning passes. I am kind of surprised the Fitz haters are on this post like pornstars at a gangbang.
Who is Yuri? Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 I guess I didn't realize that Stevie wanting QB competition, and Stevie working on his own game were mutually exclusive. I guess he better shut up, and he'll be a better football player, cause all good football players never speak.
Donald Duck Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 (edited) SJ is just trying to jockey Fitz into a QB competition, (trying to help Fitz) Fan base on the other hand is probably done with Fitz and If Brandon wants to sell tickets Ryan Fitzpatrick will not be the starter when the 2013 season starts. I like Fitzy, but as a backup/mentor and a possible coach down the line, but not as the Bills starter. Edited January 23, 2013 by dog14787
Bronc24 Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 spend the time working on your hands, cut your drops in half would be a good goal ...because heaven forbid your golden-boy Ryan ever gets criticized.
Fan in San Diego Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Stevie may not have spoken up during the season but his body language was clear as day....he was not happy with the QB play all season long I saw many times him getting frustrated when Fitz thru a dirt ball his way. Damn right he is thinking get rid of Fitz. It's affecting his career. He wants to win.
