NoSaint Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 to the thread title.... 2 rounds less next year. Just curious - how many came out last year?
Green Lightning Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 to the thread title.... 2 rounds less next year. Valid point. Buddy needs to get it right in this April.
BRAWNDO Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Tyler Bray is the only QB? I am surprised more junior QB's did not declare with such a weak senior crop of QBs.
JoeF Posted January 19, 2013 Author Posted January 19, 2013 to the thread title.... 2 rounds less next year. Just curious - how many came out last year? About 45--so an unusual, record year.
NoSaint Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 About 45--so an unusual, record year. So realistically an extra 20 guys, not 2 rounds Still good
Formerly Allan in MD Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Lattimore? Why? Agreed. No one's going to take a chance on him following two seasons of major knee surgeries. The guy needs to play a season and hopefully reestablish himself as the premier back he once was.
buffaloboyinATL Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Lattimore? Why? This surprised me as well. Early on he seemed like he would be a great one, but he will not have nearly as much value now as he would next year if he could have a successful season. Maybe he is affraid that his body won't hold up.
atlbillsfan1975 Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 He has to be thinking maybe some team will draft him in the second or third round, sight unseen from the injury. As we all know the Bills did this with Willis MCGahee. The Lattimore injury just seemed so horrible. I doubt he ever gets back to being the same back. I hope he does. The guy seems like 'one of the good ones' you want to root for. I still can not wait to see how Ogletree shows up to the combine. Love to see him weigh in at 250 and still have all the speed and agility. Than he is your pic in round one.

The guy needs to play a season and hopefully reestablish himself as the premier back he once was. Somebody smart will draft him, let him rehab with the best drs, and he will be a Major contributor once he is healthy. We should look into drafting him in the 4th/5th rd.
Steve O Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 to the thread title.... 2 rounds less next year. Just curious - how many came out last year? actually, according to this article 74 this year compared to 65 last year so a net gain of 9 this year. It's on the world wide web so it must be true! http://www.freep.com/usatoday/article/1836347?odyssey=mod%7Cnewswell%7Ctext%7CMichigan%20State%20Spartans%7Cp
#34fan Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Knew about most of them, but ZAC ERTTZ???? You gotta be FKM... I'd draft that kid TONIGHT, if I could.

JoeF Posted January 20, 2013 Author Posted January 20, 2013 Steady rise every year in entrants with a lower percentage every year drafted. In 2012, 44 of 65 were drafted, for a success rate 67.6 percent. In 2011, the rate was 76.7 percent, with 43 of 56 picked. In 2010, 86.7 percent were picked — 46 of 53. In 2009, the rate was 89.1 percent.
Wagon Circler Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 A guy I would like to single out is Zac Ertz of Stanford, who reminds me an awful lot of Jason Whitten. Alec Ogletree might make an interesting pick for our Bills. Jawan Jamison of Rutgers is a nice shifty little back for the later rounds.

Lattimore? Why? doesn't need anymore wear on the legs.
NoSaint Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 I take it you like Rutgers. doesn't need anymore wear on the legs. Exactly. If he has limited carries left - he needs them all to be pro.
JoeF Posted January 20, 2013 Author Posted January 20, 2013 (edited) I take it you like Rutgers. doesn't need anymore wear on the legs. Was actually trying to bold players that Marrone would have seen last year... but posted before I finished. Edited January 20, 2013 by JoeF
