PaattMaann Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I have enjoyed all of my Umphreys shows...they are not like the "hippy jam bands" (whom I love), but rather a progressive rock band that also jams...very good light show and all around good musicians....Pony, the bassist is pretty amazing ever get the chance to see em, I would recommend it
The Poojer Posted January 18, 2013 Author Posted January 18, 2013 Well stated...I prefer the 'trippy' 'space' jams but I do like me some \ww/ I have enjoyed all of my Umphreys shows...they are not like the "hippy jam bands" (whom I love), but rather a progressive rock band that also jams...very good light show and all around good musicians....Pony, the bassist is pretty amazing ever get the chance to see em, I would recommend it
PaattMaann Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Well stated...I prefer the 'trippy' 'space' jams but I do like me some \ww/ like many Phish 2nd sets...especially those featuring '2001' and 'Ghost' or 'No Quarter' as of late (Zep cover) and many dead sets in general...but YOU know that : )
Chef Jim Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Thanks Pooj. Missed this. Missed them by one night in Buffalo when I was there but have my tix in hand for their Bay Area show in March. One thing they didn't mention was the seventh member of the band. Jefferson Waful, their amazing light guy. Face melting goodness. \mm/
