If you are caught doing something illegally and you know others are doing it as well, what do you do/what do the authorities suggest you do? Rat on others in exchange for leniency.

and perhaps thats what they did and why the punishment wasnt similar to the saints and the evidence was destroyed?

also - if it wasnt caught on happening during a game by the media id venture the nfl would have simply issued a memo to cut it out.

What an inane post. Brady is two huge plays by the Giants away from two more Super Bowls. The team is in play every year during a cap era. Their receivers have been less than average.

I have been a Bills fan since before any Super Bowls.

Two things are indisputable facts.

1. Brady is an all time great.

2. More importantly, Belichick is probably the best coach or manager I have ever seen in sports.

Bitter partisans looking to lance them only make themselves look ignorant and bitter.

lol.

beliceck is such a great coach that after being severely punished for cheating, he has been beaten by tom coughlin on the biggest stage--twice.

so what does that make coughlin? clearly lombardi status?

Tell me .... had the Pats spied on teams from afar (as all other teams do), instead of up close (as they did do), would you still consider them cheats?

this can't be happening. are things like this allowed to be posted here.

And to further comment on that posters silly comment about how high powered the Rams were and that its fishy they only scored 17 points...Not only did the highest scoring offense of all time (Pats) put up the same 17 points against the Giants, but our very own Bills were the most dangerous offense in the NFL and heavily favored against the Giants also scored just 19 points in our loss. BB was the DC then too, so maybe BB just is a pretty damn good coach who knows who to scheme against good teams?

cool story hansel. absolutely, that man was a genius.

until the league punished him for cheating.

i mean, look at the run this defensive "genius" is on right now.

wow!

2012 - 25th ranked defense

2011 - 31st ranked defense

2010 - 25th ranked defense

why am i on a buffalo bills message board defending my view point that our hated division rivals were cheaters, and the evidence that the league punished them for cheating is not good enough evidence to prove that they cheated?

Doesn't much look like first ballot HOFer, does he?

I think it just goes to show that a QB's most important asset can be found directly between his ears.

Hmmm...I wonder if the defensive ranks have anything to do with talent or lack of talent in comparison to the Defensive talents the Giants had against the Bills and the defensive talent the Pats had in those 3 SB wins. The NE defenses of the last 3 years have not had anywhere near the talent the SB winning Pats team had let alone the Giants team that beat the Bills. That is why the D's are ranked lower...

More importantly...The Pats have made 2 SB's since their 3 wins, and it was 2 fluke plays that lost the games for them. So people trying to act like they had no success since the 3 wins are pretty silly.

also, nearly every explosive offense has a defense that is more prone to give up yards/points in garbage time. not saying they were fantastic on defense but prolific offenses do tend to correspond to that some.

Also keep in mind that since their last SB win in '07 Belichick has broken down and re-built his defense entirely, with the exception Wilfork. So, it's not a shock that his defense would struggle. Heck, that last SB team in '07 bears very little resemblance to recent teams with only the aforementioned Wilfork, Mankins, Welker, Ghostowski and Brady being the only leftovers.

For most any team that rebuilds as such, they end up being terrible. The Pats, OTOH, since '07 have won 65 games against just 20 losses. This during a re-build!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shouldn't this be a caption the photo thread?

He introduced himself to Robert Craft at practice.

Craft said: "Yea, we took you in the 6th"

Brady said: Yup, and thats the best decision you've ever made for this organization.

I suppose that could be a lengthy caption !

God I hate the Patriots .......but this has got to be one of the better "little guy that could" stories of all time in Sports.

Cry me a river Brady... Roger Staubach was picked in the 10th round @ #129... Sure but, what is 70 picks later, 4 rounds earlier (more teams)....

Two of the best there is/was. Staubach never whined and cried about being picked in the 10th and Staubach never cheated (@ least systemically)...

Forget it. There is a underlying thought process here that the Bills would be successful if the Pats didn't cheat.

One question I have asked on the 3-4 pats are cheaters a week (or day?) threads that show up here is why, since I started watching NFL in the early 70's coach's always cover there mouths with a play book? Is it possible this has always been wide spread and the pats happened to get caught?

I never got a answer to that question.

I have posted this a dozen times here with no response. Looks like that is going to hold.

Because it is fair game to read somebody's lips. It is not fair game to jam or steal transmissions of somebody's headset or send in a plant to video tape another teams exact plays. What I am saying is that teams can work from "the mind", ie: read lips etc... BUT it is not okay when you start dragging the tech into the equation. It stops @ the binocular level. How are you not getting this?... Were you and Tracy Lee separated @ birth? Think of it like Vegas... You think they are gonna let you drag a computer into a casino with sophisticated programs?

Who knows... Some reports were that Brady's headset was not shutting off after the time limit? Is that okay... We will never know, evidence was destroyed.

I don't expect you to get this... To you, there are no limits.

Perhaps everyone thought it was a rhetorical question.

Obviously the answer is "yes". It is possible, as most things are.

Is it possible that everyone here has murdered somebody? Yes.....but until they are at least accused of the charges one has to run under the assumption that they haven't.

A coach has still gotta link the lips to the correct play. That is where Belicheat and his team of tech wizards succeed. They get the tape before hand and then crunch the real game developments... By halftime it is like having the Rosetta Stone. Other teams that ran poor procedures enable Belicheat and Brady to break the other teams ciphers. It all starts with good order. Look how Lance Armstrong's ring was finally broken.

This question has been answered over and over again. Of course teams have been stealing signs from the sidelines, for decades. The Patriots did more than merely steal signs on the sidelines.

A very select few actually believe the Bills suck because the Patriots cheated, but they're wearing tin foil hats. Why continue this mission?

Because he has seen coaches covering their mouths in the 1970's! Al Davis hiding people in trees during practice! LoL

Any coincidence that Tom Coughlin hid his Super Bowl practices especially in 2007! Any coincidence that Belicheat looked like the kid that stole the answers to the wrong math test after that game? I an not saying Belicheat is not great... He is a very prepared coach that mixes things up... He is a HOFer... Same w/Brady. They probably never cheated against BFLO, they didn't have to... NOW other teams, yes.

It's never been answered. I just get vitriol and pure hate for NE when I ask the question"'I wish Brady would die a long and painful death" is a common answer. A select few? There are 10-12 threads a week on here about the Pats cheating. Who cares? The level of emotion involved tells me there is transference from the fact the Bills suck to closing my eyes and blaming it all on NE.
