Captain Hindsight Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Gailey wasnt even the worst Bills HC in history. He didnt get it done for sure, but the he wasnt even the worst in our own history
TC in St. Louis Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 I'd say Chuck Bullough and Kay Stephenson were pretty bad, not to mention John Rauch. Without Rauch, OJ probably would have had another 2000 yards in his career before killing those two people.
silvermike Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Apparently the worst era of coaching was 2008-2012. Or else the author has only been paying attention recently.
FLFan Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Stopped reading when I saw the Bleecher Report links.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Stopped reading when I saw the Bleecher Report links. did not open when I saw the bleecher report links.
mitchmurraydowntown Posted January 14, 2013 Author Posted January 14, 2013 Apparently the worst era of coaching was 2008-2012. Or else the author has only been paying attention recently. I think we're the worst coached of this millenium, the Lions being second. did not open when I saw the bleecher report links. Stopped reading when I saw the Bleecher Report links. Yeah, well the author was right & it's a factual piece.
mannc Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 http://bleacherrepor...all-time/page/9 http://bleacherrepor...ll-time/page/14 http://bleacherrepor...ll-time/page/23 They have been serving us the same dish for years, thanks Buddy. How did Mike Mularkey avoid making this ignominious list?
prissythecat Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Gailey and Jauron certainly were bad. But Bleacher articles tend to be low quality.
KollegeStudnet Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Stopped reading when I saw the Bleecher Report links. same
mitchmurraydowntown Posted January 14, 2013 Author Posted January 14, 2013 LOL, the points are hard to argue with.
FLFan Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 LOL, the points are hard to argue with. As others have pointed out, these were not even the worst coaches in Bills history, much less all time in the NFL. That right there is enough to discredit anything else this guy has to say.
Buftex Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Little too young to remember Rauch....but in my cognitive Bills lifetime (1972-present), I would have to say Hank Boullough was the absolute worst...I would be tempted to let Kay Stephenson and Dick Jauron fight it out of the #2 honor.
Punch Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Those 3 aren't even the worst 3 in the history of the Bills franchise--- they're just the most recent failed HCs. Articles like these tend that purport to estimate an "all-time" list of anything tend to have no sense of history. History being anything more than 10 years ago.
mitchmurraydowntown Posted January 14, 2013 Author Posted January 14, 2013 How are gailey and jauron not top 10? I can't remember a .~340 coach (Chan) not being there, DJ was just a zombie.
DrDawkinstein Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Apparently the worst era of coaching was 2008-2012. Or else the author has only been paying attention recently. Stopped reading when I saw the Bleecher Report links. This. 50 worst coaches "OF ALL TIME"? Not sure I can buy that.
eball Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 How are gailey and jauron not top 10? Because you have to go back farther than six years in compiling such a list?
PromoTheRobot Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 How did Mike Mularkey avoid making this ignominious list? or Wayne Fontes? PTR
