Slowtrain Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Li'l brother Joe is entering draft this year. Let's get both.
Dr. Trooth Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Baltimore has some 'incisions' to make, Kruger being one of them, Flacco another. Meanwhile, my understanding is they have less than $2M cap space. With Lewis' retirement, it could free up some cap coin, & if Reed and Suggs follow, a little more. For sure the Ravens are going to have to make some moves this offseason.

Bmore has a lot of quality free agents they need to resign - and not a whole lot as far as "cuttable" cap space...have to resign flacco, ellerbee and kruger - all who could command close to top 5 money at their position...they will lose AT LEAST one of these guys....
J-E-T-S-L-O-L Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 (edited) The Ravens are projected to be about 15 mill under the cap. But they do need to sign Flacco and Ellerbe. Probably leaving Kruger to test the market. I like the guy alot. He has been a beast down the stretch. Buyer beware though. He didn`t do alot when Suggs was out. He is a pass rushing specialist only, who excells playing a limited number of snaps, and is not good in run support. He`s been there for years and only finally came through in his contract year, and now demands a huge salary for a great half season. Edited January 14, 2013 by J-E-T-S-L-O-L
Buffalo Barbarian Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 I thought you were done with Landry. He will be lucky to be a backup in this league. And I don't think we could sign the FAs you want in Madden. As for PK, I loved him out of college. As a GM, I'd always go after productive pass rushers who play through the whistle. High motor guys if you will. I never said I was done just don't think he will be elite.
KollegeStudnet Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Li'l brother Joe is entering draft this year. Let's get both. Joe is pretty legit
Nitro Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Kruger is good as a pass rusher. High motor and intense. He can be bull dozed in run defense. Gets out of position and cut back runs are to his side of the defense. He would not be a bad pick up for a modest price.
RyanC883 Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 I'd take him. And we have players around him. (M. Williams, K. Willams, MD, Moore) and on the other side the other OLB we draft.
Max Fischer Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Yikes that seems like a lot of money for him. He's worth it. The guy is a beast.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 tough dude wow, tough indeed. "Kruger went through two serious childhood accidents.[5] He almost died in his Uncle's jeep accident at age 13. In college at Salt Lake City, Utah, (January 29, 2008) a street stabbing left him with a 6.5 inch scar on his chest. A screwdriver was driven through the back of a Ute teammate and brass knuckles were used to break the nose and shatter the cheekbone of his younger brother. The fight left Kruger with "life-threatening injuries" that required nearly 50 staples to close the incisions made during a four-hour surgery.[6]"
....lybob Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Rather have Connor Barwin but I really don't know how well either guy would transition from 3-4 OLB to 4-3 DE
PaattMaann Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Rather have Connor Barwin but I really don't know how well either guy would transition from 3-4 OLB to 4-3 DE well good thing neither would have to, huh?
dpberr Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Everytime I hear this guy's name I think of the movie Eraser and James Caan...and how he doesn't do movies anymore.
JoeF Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 (edited) Kruger is represented by former Bill Joe Panos who is making quite a name for himself in the agent world...just a note.... I like him because you can do a lot with him -- DE in the 4/3; stand up in the 3/4--he's big man at 270 -- and he fits Pettine's philosophy of attack and varying looks well. We need a serious talent infusion at LB -- a high draft pick and a free agent at least. Edited January 15, 2013 by JoeF
Captain Caveman Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Signing those WRs with fitz and jones at QB is like using a sniper rifle from 3 feet away. Really? It seems like that could net you some decent results. I would have said it's like using a shotgun from 1000 yards.
