NoSaint Posted January 13, 2013 Author Posted January 13, 2013 (edited) Amazed manning never got a chance in the last few mins. A simple fg wins it even at 2 mins and they insist on milking clock? Edited January 13, 2013 by NoSaint
BuffOrange Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 I was gonna say I get a kick out of announcers salivating like conservative is always good, but then knocking it the one time it makes since - when the other team needs a TD in 70sec's & no time outs, it actually made sense for Denver to run it... Then an all-time bad safety play.
Kelly the Dog Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Honestly, it was a ballsy throw. It probably shouldn't have been completed outside of dumb luck Ballsy or desperation or stupid?
NoSaint Posted January 13, 2013 Author Posted January 13, 2013 Ballsy or desperation or stupid? Atleast 2 of those 3, if not all of the above.
Simon Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 If Peyton is as good as Tebow, he'll throw an 80 TD on the first play.....
Kelly the Dog Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 That was a bills-like epic letdown That is unfortunately so true.
voodoo poonani Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 I wonder if this will run into the other game
Big Turk Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 John Fox is gonna get murdered in the press and by the fans if the Broncos lose after playing ultra conservative and settling for OT with 36 seconds, 2 timeouts and Petting Manning at QB... Wow, talk about playing not to lose...
Simon Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Atleast 2 of those 3, if not all of the above. It was a hail mary. He climbed the ladder and threw it as far as he could with :30 and no timeouts. And the Broncos secondary fell apart like a Robert Hall suit. Look for them attck downfield again here.
voodoo poonani Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 If Peyton is as good as Tebow, he'll throw an 80 TD on the first play..... Please tell me you didn't just compare Peyton Manning to Tim Tebow
bisonbrigade Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Ray Lewis told Flacco don't bother coming back to the sideline without a game tying TD. I will KEEEEEL YOU!!
NoSaint Posted January 13, 2013 Author Posted January 13, 2013 Please tell me you didn't just compare Peyton Manning to Tim Tebow Tebow would've won this by now.
Simon Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Please tell me you didn't just compare Peyton Manning to Tim Tebow We won't know for sure until we see what Peyton does with his first play.
Kelly the Dog Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Ray Lewis told Flacco don't bother coming back to the sideline without a game tying TD. I will KEEEEEL YOU!! I think what he actually said was that he would have one of his sycophants keeeeel you and then deny he had anything to do with it.

Wow, talk about playing not to lose... I cannot believe Manning did anything other than throw a dart at Brandon Stokely on that 3rd down.

Like a Hail Mary, a whole lot of luck and one without hindsight might say the first down was the primary bridge to cross on that snap. It was desperation, and it was either dumb or ballsy depending on his reads there. Likely some combination. More power to him. Can't make the big play if you don't get the ball down there, and he did that. Edited January 13, 2013 by NoSaint
Ozymandius Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 I cannot believe Manning did anything other than throw a dart at Brandon Stokely on that 3rd down. Also that long FG attempt into the wind at the end of 1H, giving Baltimore great field position John Fox might be a good coach - I don't know. But he's had a horrible time with game management in this one.

And I don't trust him one iota more than I did an hour ago.
