Food_Pyramid_Wrong Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Instead of breaking the bank for Mike Pettine Sr, who has thoroughly dominated in head to head contests, we settle for Mike Pettine Jr. Typical Bills.
HamSandwhich Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Cant...telll....if...hes trying to be funny?
Captain Caveman Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Maybe he'll take a position coach position.

Good one! RALPH IS CHEAP I didn't quite make it out from the various interviews - is Pettine's father retired? I am probably mixing up the stories between his father the PA HS Coaching legend, and Hackett's father, the NFL offensive mastermind. At least one of them is mostly living in Florida these days.
Chris in Syracuse Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 It is an obvious and quite funny little joke.
Nanker Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Well, look at the bright side. Rus Whalix didn't bring in Sexy Rexy's brother.
Kevin Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 It is an obvious and quite funny little joke. I don't get it.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Cant...telll....if...hes trying to be funny? his avatar says everything we need to know.
PearlHowardman Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 It is an obvious and quite funny little joke. What's funny is that Saratoga, NY is full of Pats fans.
Nanker Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I don't get it. Ask Ben Roethlisberger. He's really good at explain jokes, so I hear.

Check the video interview on the bills' website. When jr was coaching HS, he went 0-5 against the old man.
JESSEFEFFER Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I don't get it. Best way I can explain it is from this thread: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/154858-our-new-dc-was-a-movie-star/ Mike Pettine Sr.'s last year as a high school head coach was the subject of a documentary. His team beat Jr.'s team twice that year on the way to winning the PA AAAA championship in 1999.
cage Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 his avatar says everything we need to know. I was just about to type that.... +1
Fan in San Diego Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Cant...telll....if...hes trying to be funny? I think he is. Pettine still sends tape to his Dad for analysis.

Paul Hackett's last known position was as quarterbacks' coach for the Oakland Raiders in 2010.
HamSandwhich Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I think he is. Pettine still sends tape to his Dad for analysis. I knew what his reference was, I guess I just didn't find it too funny. His Avatar makes me laugh though, is it your mug shot?
Ramius Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Is this one of those really deep inside jokes that one person tells, no one laughs, and then he tells everyone else that THEY'RE the morons?
