Buffalo Barbarian Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 https://twitter.com/...802542924742656 Syracuse insider says he's hearing he's our o-coordinator now. May not be good for orange but good for us and he does have NFL experience so if Doug likes him that's good enough for me.
buffalo1983 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 He wouldnt be coming as OC, not at all. but he would as Quality control
cmjoyce113 Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 He was OC in CUSE and will be coming to Buffalo as Quality Control coach. Sounds good to me.... responsibilities include a variety of areas on the offensive side of the ball such as analysis of opponents’ defensive tendencies, implementation of scout team efforts during practices and analysis of Bills offensive plays, just to name a few. Where do you hear this?
NoSaint Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 (edited) He wouldnt be coming as OC, not at all. but he would as Quality control Again, that would be a demotion for him and thus highly unlikely. We will see. Where do you hear this? In his bills bio... Which I believe is from when he was a QC coach a few years ago. Comes up in google because his content is pretty thin. jahnyc Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 I hope he is not going to be the offensive coordinator.
2020 Our Year For Sure Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 He should strive to put together a better staff than he had at Syracuse. I hope this is untrue
NoSaint Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 He should strive to put together a better staff than he had at Syracuse. I hope this is untrue It would contradict his experiences nfl coordinator comment, so yes, I hope not too as it means his plans are not panning out.
buffalo1983 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Brett McMurphy @McMurphyESPN Nathaniel Hackett expected to stay at Syracuse npw joining Doug Marrone w/Buffalo Bills ITs official. He is coming to Buffalo. But hopefully not as a OC. We need better experience in that position.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Yeah, I don't know what to think. If you follow the link from the coaches page, there's only Marrone's bio listed. he was here before

reddogblitz Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 I guess I'm OK with it if it's not OC. He can work his way up.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 If any of this is true then we can probably expect to have Nassib as our new QB .. all depends on Nix
buffalo1983 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Brent Axe @BrentAxeMedia Hackett put in a lot of the same elements the Bills K-gun offense used to run at SU. And he would fit with the youth movement in Buffalo
buffalo1983 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Sal Capaccio @SalSports So we're all clear, last night report Hackett staying at SU. Today report he's going to Bills. No confirmation from either side either way.
NoSaint Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 (edited) all depends on Nix It pains me, but I agree with bb. Ultimately, it could mean nothing with regards to nassib. That marrone and hackett like to work together doesn't mean any cuse player will be drafted, just we will have the best read on them. Edited January 9, 2013 by NoSaint
buffalo1983 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Sal Capaccio @SalSports Please stop looking at an old bio of Hackett at Bills website. That was from his earlier time with the team as Off Quality Control Coach.
Kelly the Dog Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Reeks of Giff Smith to me. No way he's the OC. Agreed. I think he will be the QB coach, and a guy like Carmichael will come in to be the OC. I hope, and expect it.
