cmjoyce113 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 https://twitter.com/...802542924742656 Syracuse insider says he's hearing he's our o-coordinator now.
JPS Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 That would be shocking....and prolly not very popular.
cmjoyce113 Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 Sounds done to me. Why would it be shocking? He called plays at Syracuse I believe. Think he would be a good fit.

NoSaint Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 (edited) Actual insider? Or just dude with a twitter account? Espn reporting he's staying in cuse as recent as today Edited January 9, 2013 by NoSaint
Fixxxer Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 That is weird.... Yeah, I don't know what to think. If you follow the link from the coaches page, there's only Marrone's bio listed.
Doc Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Yep, he was with the Bills for a year previously, and the Bucs as well.
NoSaint Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Yeah, I don't know what to think. If you follow the link from the coaches page, there's only Marrone's bio listed. Maybe an old archived page from his last go around? Is any info current on it?
cmjoyce113 Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 He was offensive quality control with Bills before he went to Cuse.
3rdand12 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 He was offensive quality control with Bills before he went to Cuse. I did read that
Punch Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 The twitter account is connected to the Post Standard and Syracuse.com, so it's not a bogus twitterer (?), but that doesn't necessarily mean it's true. I'm not sure I'm crazy about the idea.

I'm not sure I'm crazy about the idea. Sal Cappacio just retweeted it so there must be some substance.
SBUffalo Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 (edited) This would be a good hire based on the familiarity. But, for the record, ESPN reported that he's staying at Syracuse. Edited January 9, 2013 by DStebb716
T master Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 If any of this is true then we can probably expect to have Nassib as our new QB ..
K-9 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 If true, color me underwhelmed with his first hiring choice. Perhaps other candidates said no? Anyway, I'm not in favor of him loading up on Syracuse staff. And I thought he said he wanted coordinators who had broad NFL experience. Oh well. GO BILLS!!!
buffalo1983 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 He was OC in CUSE and will be coming to Buffalo as Quality Control coach. Sounds good to me.... responsibilities include a variety of areas on the offensive side of the ball such as analysis of opponents’ defensive tendencies, implementation of scout team efforts during practices and analysis of Bills offensive plays, just to name a few.
Kelly the Dog Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 I would assume he was coming to Buffalo to be the QB coach as opposed to the OC. Or if it really is Quality control, that would be cool, too.

I'd be amazed if he went down that low. Position coach or higher as a college coordinator. He was a quality coach last time he was here.
