SouthTownBills51 Posted January 6, 2005 Share Posted January 6, 2005 We did have a game breaking tight end.I mean think about it, if we had a Kellen Winslow Jr, or a Jeremy Shockey or a Tony Gonzalez not afraid to go up the middle and take a hit..Linebackers might play back into coverage more then come at the quarterback..Its not everyday you see a defense prepare during a week on how to stop a tightend..maybe a blocking TE isn't the answer for us..Willis Mcgahee is the type of back that can do plenty on his own shear talent. I'm hoping someone like Bubba Franks, Freddie Jones, or Marcus Pollard(if the cults cut him) are avilable. If Not that route maybe someone else more draft knowledgeable knows a te out there who will be available? I like Mark Campbell and Tim Euhus has potential, but an upgrade in te, would not only open up our offense, give Drew and eventually Jp another reliable target, but it would make us harder to defend.
