truth on hold Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 (edited) Why'd they wait so long ? Edited January 9, 2013 by Joe_the_6_pack
atlbillsfan1975 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Why'd they wait so long ? Depends on the injury. They may of had to wait for swelling to go down some. Or he could have decided to wait till after the holidays. 3 extra weeks will not mean much in the recovery/rehab process.
NoSaint Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Why'd they wait so long ? Very often a wait to let swelling and such take care if itself
Mark Vader Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 http://blogs.buffalo...-surgery-thurs/ Here's to a speedy and complete recovery, Mr Chandler! Amen.
JM57 Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Why'd they wait so long ? Like the others said, they often have to wait for swelling in the knee to go away before they can operate. IIRC, they had to wait almost 2 weeks for my little brother's first ACL surgery for swelling, and somewhere between 10-14 days for his second one this past summer
truth on hold Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 funny though they got to RG3 right away
NoSaint Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 funny though they got to RG3 right away As it turns out, not every injury is the same.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Why'd they wait so long ? Apparently he pushed the surgery back to next week. He woke up this morning and decided he wasn't in the mood for surgery. I'm starting to become concerned.
1B4IDie Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Generally it is bad to push these back even because of swelling. Top tier atheletes usually go under the knife ASAP. The swelling can be managed, uts the scar tissue that forms when you're waiting that can cause issues and delay recovery. I'm sure they are doing the right thing but september is looking like a long shot at this point in time. Chandler is a 6-7 dude with a lot more weight to bear on that rebuilt ligament, he is not going to recover like the physical freak of nature that is adrian peterson. I would say finding a pass catching te just got even more important for 2013.
