Malazan Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Not sure about this, I believe I've read that assistant coach salaries are not guaranteed, so if they get canned, the team is not obligated to pay them anymore. Most coaching contracts in the NFL are guaranteed. At this point, the Bills staff has only been relieved of duties anyway which means they are technically still employed.
Chris in Syracuse Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 I kept hearing what a magician David Lee was... He magically made Fitz's accuracy disappear.
3rdand12 Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Coach Joe D and what the heck, bring back Metz. and groundskeeper Willie, team hasn't been the same since
Bills!Win! Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 I kept hearing what a magician David Lee was... A magician alright. One who can make his QB disappear.
bigdogtim Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Definitely NOT the strength and conditioning coach. CJ was winded far too often!
Mike in Syracuse Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 D'Allesandris and Dehaven would be solid choices.
Hapless Bills Fan Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Well he did make any faith Bills Fans had in Fitzpatrick disappear. Winner!
San Jose Bills Fan Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 OL and DBs, that's it. I dunno. The DBs under Catavalos never seem to make plays. It seems they've all regressed. I think the converted wide receiver turned safety dropping sure interceptions is emblematic of Catavolos' tenure. On the other hand, the cornerbacks not looking back for the ball and wasting good coverage as a result might be more emblematic. Hard to say.
Rob's House Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Wannstedt ... I don't know if you're joking, but I actually wouldn't mind this. The D started coming together down the stretch and it would provide some continuity on that side of the ball.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 According to Murph on WGR just now. Which position coaches would you want back? sign him! Tell ya what - I'd take Rusty Jones in a heartbeat. him too
KellyToTasker Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 I agree with the OLine coach. Any chance he has a name?
atlbillsfan1975 Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Not sure Joe D will be brought back, but he did a great job under Chan. Marrone has said he will work with the Oline and QB mostly. Could see him using a younger assistant on Oline but i could be wrong. Joe D lives in ATL and has come into my restaurant before. On a side note! he is actually good friends with a guy i do business with.
