26CornerBlitz
Phil Knight of Nike is heavily involved in trying to keep Chip Kelly at Oregon. The Bills were smart to move on Marrone. Chargers, Browns, and Eagles were poised to strike on getting Marrone as their new HC.
buffalo1983
@AdamSchefter: So Cleveland is restarting its HC search while Chip Kelly must decide whether to go to Philadelphia or remain at Oregon. Looks like chip is playing around n wants full control and even change rosters n etc. kind of the whole point of taking charge but he might be asking for to much. @JasonLaCanfora: Hearing issues of roster control/overall power were always major issues to resolve in pursuit of Chip Kelly. We'll see if/when he leaves
Nanker
Hahahahahahahahaha! Sorry, just had to laugh. Looks like Cleveland's Plan B just signed with The Bills (well, perhaps, maybe, sorta, he's supposed to have by some accounts). Haslam with all that moolah and Banner with all his cunning couldn't close the deal - after a seven hour marathon meeting and a followup meeting or two. The Brownies are now going to have to retool. Methinks they've been plotting for months to get Kelly, and now it's blown up in their faces - including their "backup" plan.

Bills fans laughing at Cle's failed attempts to better themselves is akin to one bum laughing at another bum as they both lay in the gutter. 26CornerBlitz
Browns put all of their "Duck" Eggs in the Chip Kelly Basket and looks like they're coming up empty nest. Bills beat them to Marrone who they interviewed twice and liked very much. Egg on the Browns Face, Take that Jimmy Haslam and Joe Banner. Reboot indeed!!! San Jose Bills Fan
Bills fans laughing at Cle's failed attempts to better themselves is akin to one bum laughing at another bum as they both lay in the gutter. "hahahahah how does that rat taste?.....I'm dining on pidgeon over here" How about all those "Bills fans" yesterday who were complaining that the Browns were making the Bills look bad? Bottom line, both teams had an interest in Kelly and Marrone. Sources out of Cleveland were actually saying that the Browns were trying to decide which one they liked better. The Bills got Marrone. It looks like Philly will get Kelly. Any way anyone wants to cut it up, Cleveland is the loser here.

Phil Knight has more money than Haslam. However, he might convince Jeffrey Lurie to give him Andy Reid-like control of player personnel. The natives in the city of brotherly hate will eat him alive though if he doesn't win and win big, and in that division - it's a tough thing to do. I'm thinking he goes back to school and Lovie goes to Philly.
San Jose Bills Fan
Well anyways, the Philly-Cleveland tug-of-war is apparently still going on so I guess I was early on this. One of those teams will be hiring their third choice though.

Meathead
but for once im glad it isnt the bills in the browns situation - being used by somebody to get a better offer elsewhere. looks like marrone might have been everybodys plan b if they didnt get kelly and now the bills got him. and frankly, id rather have marrone than kelly anyway, the latter of which i think looks like the next jesus of college coaching to fail spectacularly. you cant come into the nfl for the first time asking for total control and stuff like that, seems like hes a little too full of himself at this point and his ego is bound to get in his own way. nfl history is full of those guys and they usually dont work out

Buffalo Wing
This is crazy funny. I live down here in Cleveland. The radio has been all abuzz since late Friday afternoon about how incredible Haslam is, etc, etc, etc. Now, it's turned on it ear.
