Bronc24 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 At 28-13, we'll get a chance to see how much Landry Jones has improved with a good defense bringing intense pressure. Can't wait to see how he reacts. Â Great point. Quote
Kelly the Dog Posted January 5, 2013 Author Posted January 5, 2013 I hate to give the Johnny Football too much credit, especially with his great OL, but the defense has to worry so much about him pulling the ball away and running himself, or pulling it away and dropping back to pass either short or long, that simple running plays like that last one become a relatively easy TD. Nice run but still, it looked like there was no one after him. Quote
buffaloboyinATL Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 I see Johnny Football listed as 6'1 200, if that is true he should fill out enough to be a satisfactory pro body, correct? Quote
BringBackFergy Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 This will be a good test of Jones' skillset...down by 8, momentum with Aggies. He's been passing real well...Sooners should stick with the pass or PA x2 Quote
26CornerBlitz Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Why is nobody talking about the Texas A&M head coach for NFL jobs? Quote

When standing next to teammates he really doesn't look like 6'1" 200 to me, but who knows. He looks like 5'11" 185 or so. Quote

Buffalo Barbarian Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Manziel = Flutie 2.0 and man is he good ! Â he is something, it will be interesting to see how he progresses with throwing game. Quote
Dr. Trooth Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Jones is not getting pressured at all. Okla is running at will. Why are they not putting up points? Because, their QB is not making a difference. He's completing passes, but he's not making them count when it matters. Jones is gonna see a lot of color in his face at the next level... he'll be a difference maker for the other team. Quote
BringBackFergy Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Â Â he is something, it will be interesting to see how he progresses with throwing game. Progressing pretty good from 1st to 3rd quarter I'd say Quote
26CornerBlitz Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 This thread is appropriately named....That is all!!! Quote
San Jose Bills Fan Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Manziel reminds me of a faster version of Favre. Throws from crazy angles on the run and is very intense on the field while having some fun. Â Manziel's quite artistic in the same way that a point guard is in basketball. Â He creates angles and leverages that most quarterbacks don't see, because they don't create them. Â I see Johnny Football listed as 6'1 200, if that is true he should fill out enough to be a satisfactory pro body, correct? Â How would you feel about Manziel if you heard a pro scout say (next year), "he's a slightly larger version of Russell Wilson?" Quote

NFLBighits Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 he is something, it will be interesting to see how he progresses with throwing game. He has so much heart and he is just toying with them lol,,,, Wow he will get better at his longer passes but looks dam good for sure ! Quote

Russell Wilson will never be an elite QB......I read that on a thread somewhere Quote
