Chilly
That's because you're a simpleton who never has anything of any interest or import to share. Run along, Sparky. That might be one of the most hypocritical things I've ever seen posted on this forum. Your argument in this thread is one of the most "simpleton" stances I've ever seen: "I really don't like it, it's a lot worse to me than straight people kissing, so other people shouldn't be allowed to do it and no one should have a positive stance on it". Have fun with this ridiculous thread, I'm out.

Furthermore, he finds all public displays of affection to be in poor taste.
Maury Ballstein
IMO it is in poor taste. It's a hey hey look at me moment, I am the spokesmen for all gays now, I just bowled a 300. Elton John and lady gaga get outta my way.

KD in CA
I find two guys making out to be pretty gross too, but there is no justification to say that PDAs for gay people is any more or less appropriate than PDAs for straight people. However, I do agree it's ridiculous for someone to consider it a newsworthy event. Shhhhhh it's 2013 you have to just accept it, no ones allowed to say what they think anymore. But you're the same guy who thinks Hitler parody videos are "inappropriate", right? Edited January 4, 2013 by KD in CT

Keep on keepin' your hypocrisy Ryan! i didn't know you celebrated murderers.......i guess your man room with Hitler, Manson, and Jeffrey Dahmer posters is pretty awesome! hypocrisy? not wanting to see gays kiss and mass murderers are somehow in the same convo? i fail to make the connection. 2 men kissing is not my cup of tea.........what is wrong with me? "PROPS" are not something we should associate with Hitler IMO. Edited January 4, 2013 by Ryan L Billz

But feel free to point out where I have done so, or where I have have made "Props" (you keeping using this silly word for some reason) to such people. Or you can continue to make rambling, emotion-based accusations.
Maury Ballstein
its the title of the hitler thread........."props to hitler" i guess it's that far fetched to assume some don't find Hitler funny? I think for myself and don't give a Shhhh about PC/non Pc stuff. label away with your PC/non PC left right nonsense. Thats not my cup of tea either, I'm just a simpleton who doesn't enjoy a man's warm embrace or tender lips. to me Hitler's not funny............take it how you want. SageAgainstTheMachine
Can't believe nobody else has brought this up, but that was barely a peck. I've seen men kiss their mother more passionately. Hardly PDA in my opinion.
IDBillzFan
However, I do agree it's ridiculous for someone to consider it a newsworthy event. Twenty bucks says if it was two hot lesbians making out it wouldn't be news. Because hot lesbians making out on ESPN isn't an example of PDA. It's free porn. In fairness, even if it WAS two chicks making out, the story conflicts with its purpose. The goal, it would seem, is to show how gays are just like straights and that this type of behavior is perfectly normal, which then begs the question, if the behavior is normal, why are you doing a story about it? We all need to ensure we don't pin gays into some media-driven stereotype, and the first way to do that is stop writing stories pointing out something that is supposed to be considered mainstream. Gay men kiss. There's no story there. If you want a story, let's talk about how gay bowling is. Hell, even lesbians prefer softball.

However, I do agree it's ridiculous for someone to consider it a newsworthy event. How do you figure? Can we stop paying homage to political correctness & just be real? EVERYONE, gays included, understands that there is a fundamental difference here. It's kind of like saying there's no difference between a woman wearing a bikini & a man wearing a Speedo - the Speedo is far more offensive. Imagine explaining it to your child. (And I'm speaking generally here, not necessarily to this specific incident. Explaining why a man & woman kissed is easy. Why two men are kissing takes a whole different level of understanding on the part of a child who's trying to make sense of something they really can't relate to and are just beginning to comprehend and constructing a world view about.
