Hopefully they also use the same req for DC, OC, Special Teams, LB... etc. Whomever they bring in as HC - I hope that they don't let the HC hire all of his coaches. If they do - History repeats itself. As a former Corp person - my Managers were worthless!!! But the individual teammembers were awsome. If Marv didn't have Kelly (who called all of the plays) and supporting cast plus a great defense, would Marv get all of the accolades he has for the 1990's Teams?? If the Colts didn't have Luck where would they be??? Same could be said of Washington and Seattle. If the Vikings didn't have the Perterson would they be where they are now??? HC is only part of the equation!!!!!!!!!!
Homer Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Coaches generally hire their own guys...which is one of my worries about Kelly...if he cn bring in a quality nfl coaching staff then Im all for it. I think we are finally about where we should be talent wise...its time to go for all the cookies

RealityCheck Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 This is the million dollar question. The head coach is literally at the mercy of the coordinators they chose. They often chose familiarity over quality. Who they hire as coordinators and their respective philosophies is my chief concern too.
