Mooshocker Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 I believe we lost a couple of really great coaches that proved their value on the field via those they coached: 1. Pete Metzlaars - consider the year Chandler had and the improved play of Lee; 2. Joe Desallendres (sp) - once again, making something out of a beat up O-line; 3. George Catavloas - year after year he coached up some pretty good CB play...even got a little improvement out of McDropsy
DrDawkinstein Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Nothing says we cant bring them back. But it was only fair to them, and the new head coach, to let them go.

boyst Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 I hope we can get them to return, I think Joe D and Catavloas are likely to return, while Metz will want to stay.
davefan66 Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Probably the only guys I would want back. Maybe Dehaven...not sure though.
Kelly the Dog Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 The CB play outside of Gilmore who seemed to play a certain style and display a level of talent from day one was abysmal. Chandler was the same guy as last year and Lee Smith did nothing. The OL coach Joe D was very good and I hope we can get him back in the next staff.
McBeane Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 I wouldn't mind having Joe D and Metz back but I'm not sold on bringing Catavolos back. Our DB's always seem to have trouble turning and locating the ball.
atlbillsfan1975 Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 DB's often looked lost. Break down is coverages happened too much. You could see Db's looking at each other with their arms up as if to say 'where were you'. No thanks on the DB coach. Oline looked good and barely missed a beat when injuries started happening over the past two seasons. Their was some drop off when Wood got injured. But no too many teams have two outstanding centers on their team.
FitzShowUsYourTitz Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Nothing says we cant bring them back. But it was only fair to them, and the new head coach, to let them go. Exactly. That's how it works.
beerme1 Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 I'll pass on DeHaven thanks. We're moving on. I always feel that someone is always close to breaking one against us. Of course with Lindell kicking that easier to do but I don't have a real comfort lever with Bruce DeHaven. Adios. Joe D I would bring back but it really only matters who the next coach has an interest in.
Reed83HOF Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Joe D and Metz I would bring back. I would like to see the return of Bobby April on ST though

If the Bills hire Whisenhunt, you most likely get Grimm as OL coach.
ganesh Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Probably the only guys I would want back. Maybe Dehaven...not sure though. Dehaven sucked and played scared...like his HC. He is done in the NFL and I am glad they let go of him.

San Jose Bills Fan Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Catavalos seems to prefer the technique of his DBs not looking back for the ball which usually results in completed passes or defensive pass interference penalties.

Of the coaches let go, I could care less about him. The OL and ST coaches, maybe another story.
