rcatty Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 You won't be giving up 250 yards on the ground or 50 points a game.....but he needs help with offensive coaching....
apuszczalowski Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 No more Bears rejects. PTR but atleast this time it would be a good Bears reject. The problems on that team were on offence and with a horrible o-line, he would have one of the best o-lines hes ever had if he came here
rocwocka Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Knows how to get the best effort out of a cold weather defensively minded team... also took a Jauron team and made them into winners. We would need to acquire the LBs to be able to drop into coverage... LOVES to run the ball... would need to make better decision on O-coordinator than he's made in the past... Still, I think he's gotta be in the conversation for our head coach vacancy! OK, now chop me to bits kids!
EmotionallyUnstable Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Don't think you're that crazy. I like the idea of taking a look at him. I do think you would need to bring in an offensive mind to assist him. Wish he was more vocal however.
Best Player Available Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Can the fans try and break out of retread losers as coaches? Maybe as a defensive line coach though. Those players look like some coaching is needed.
stony Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 His ability to waste timeouts and challenges is legendary.
BuffaloBillsForever Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 You won't be giving up 250 yards on the ground or 50 points a game.....but he needs help with offensive coaching.... ABSOLUTELY NOT!
thewildrabbit Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 You won't be giving up 250 yards on the ground or 50 points a game.....but he needs help with offensive coaching.... Hrmm Lovie is a winner, but his Choice of OC's is about as bad as Gaileys choice of DC's Why not hire someone that knows both offense and defense
rcatty Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 Lovie has the personnel for, at best, a 9-7 team, maybe a 10-6 team. His offensive line is terrible. His players play their hearts out for him. He coaches turnovers, and taking the ball away. Lovie is behind guys like Charles Tillman, and others going to the Pro Bowl. You won't see underperforming guys around here anymore.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 I like Lovie with the right offensive coordinator. I like the idea someone had of he being the head coach and Norv Turner as the OC. Why not hire someone that knows both offense and defense Like who for instance? Belichick is the only guy I know that has coordinated both sides of the ball.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 @AndrewSiciliano Lovie Smith should be as coveted and viable a candidate as any of the fired coaches. Give him an OL and he wins quickly.
ET1062 Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Hire Lovie and hope Mr. Howell has enough money to buy the team.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Hire Lovie and hope Mr. Howell has enough money to buy the team. His fortune has dwindled since being stranded on the island for all those years.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 I believe a lot of you are undervaluing Lovie Smith. The guy is an excellent coach and leader who generally has his teams over-achieving IMO. They consistently play hard. The guy took a team to the Super Bowl with Rex Grossman as the QB for God's sake.
