26CornerBlitz Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 If you can get Lovie Smith you have to pull the trigger. The guy has been to the SB, overcome a down year, succeeded with mediocre QBs, & is coming off a 10-6 season. We'd be lucky to have him. His firing was a move based on appeasing the Bears fans lynch mob. Chicago sports talk radio has been filled with hate talk for years.
NoSaint Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 Koetter in Atlanta? Heck, Nolan could probably scheme our talent too What say y'all?
26CornerBlitz Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Koetter in Atlanta? Heck, Nolan could probably scheme our talent too What say y'all? Already has three HC interviews lined up. according to Fox Sports.
scribo Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Ruben Brown tweeted that he hopes the Bills will consider Lovie Smith.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Tressel at HC, Lovie at DC is ideal for me. Again (like with Chip Kelly), why hire Tressel who has never coached in the NFL at any level? I personally would never hire a guy as head coach who has never even coached an NFL player as a position coach.
CSBill Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Jay Gruden is my pick, he has groomed Andy Dalton into a really good QB and has coaching experience in the AFL. He was also a QB in te AFL and has won championships in that league. You do realize, that Andy Dalton's stats are almost identical to Fitz's this year, right?
Nanker Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 I only want a new HC who loudly and publicly expresses love and admiration for every former employer that fired him.
LiterateStylish Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Jay Glazer @JayGlazer The Bears have already asked for permission to interview Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy. He's a very, very hot name right now No thanks. Anyone with Manning as their QB can play online poker during the game and still look like a genius. You do realize, that Andy Dalton's stats are almost identical to Fitz's this year, right? People on this forum overrate Dalton for some reason.
cale Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Don't like Lovie as an option. Underachieved in Chicago. Lost the team a bit. I have no idea why Billick isn't an option. Guy is smart and fits what he has to the players he has available. Also fiery when needed and tempered when the situation calls for it. I like the McCoy talk. I also think Mike Nolan should be a call. We shall see.
LiterateStylish Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 kirk cousins= matt cassell Wrong. Cousins is much smarter, has incredible pocket presence and can throw on the run.
symbiant Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 You do realize, that Andy Dalton's stats are almost identical to Fitz's this year, right? Except he's in the playoffs... and we are not
LiterateStylish Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Except he's in the playoffs... and we are not That has little to do with Dalton. But ok.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 You do realize, that Andy Dalton's stats are almost identical to Fitz's this year, right? I like Jay Gruden because of his credentials and pedigree but I've not been impressed with Dalton or the Bengals offense. Could you imagine how much better the Bills offense would be with the simple addition of AJ Green? Then imagine Dalton without AJ Green. Don't like Lovie as an option. Lovie underachieved in Chicago? One could easily make the argument that he overachieved. As for Nolan, a call for what? Defensive Coordinator?
symbiant Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 That has little to do with Dalton. But ok. Really, funny how the bungals were the bills just a few years ago, before drafting Dalton + AJ Green.
NoSaint Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 No thanks. Anyone with Manning as their QB can play online poker during the game and still look like a genius. People on this forum overrate Dalton for some reason What about the decade before? Agreed on dalton. He hasn't failed but he's not a dream come true either. Was a great fit at the time but ill be very curious to see what happens with him come contract time.
ThrowingFitz Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Chip Kelly. 45-7 since taking over as HC. Uses the spread. Would bring an element of winning culture back to Buffalo.
RJ (not THAT RJ) Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Chip Kelly. 45-7 since taking over as HC. Uses the spread. Would bring an element of winning culture back to Buffalo. Is the spread really such a good idea in Buffalo weather/wind? [Not opposed, legitimately asking.]
