Big Gun Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Though I don't think it is right and I think he is a pretty decent HC, I think Lovie Smith in Chicago is on a very hot seat.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 @JayGlazer Black Monday begins. The Cleveland Browns have just fired HC Pat Shurmur
BuffaloBillsForever Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Though I don't think it is right and I think he is a pretty decent HC, I think Lovie Smith in Chicago is on a very hot seat. Thanks. You're right, he might get canned as well. I also forgot about the Chargers GM. He will be fired too. Isn't how crazy how many coaches will be fired? Could get up to double digits.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 (edited) John Gruden may return to the NFL sidelines: http://www.nfl.com/n...-coaching-jobs? Crennel is officially out in KC: http://profootballta...ot-scott-pioli/ @AdamSchefter Jets announced they fired GM Mike Tannenbaun and are keeping HC Rex Ryan. Meathead Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 due to the rooney rule we have to call it white monday just for today
NoSaint Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 If I'm the Lions, Schwartz is out tomorrow. Their 4-12 was considerably more unexpected than the Bills' 6-10 and the need for a change of culture is obvious to even the layman. the debate allegedly centers around their having handed him a recent extension. they finished last year terribly though too - 4-12 is a surprise, but underachieving is totally expected.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 due to the rooney rule we have to call it white monday just for today Yeah Okay.
scribo Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 I for one am happy the Jests kept Rex. He isn't a bad tactician, but he will keep the drama going that killed them this year. It also guarantees Tebow is leaving.

Isn't how crazy how many coaches will be fired? Could get up to double digits. im doubting the double digits for coaches (i think somewhere in the back of your head you may be blending coaches and GMs in that total)
26CornerBlitz Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 @AlbertBreer The Browns have fired general manager Tom Heckert. Expected move with new ownership.
papazoid Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 kc just fired romeo crennel.......no decision on pioli yet...
BuffaloBillsForever Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Tannenbaum fired in NY (Jets GM), Rex Ryan stays. Browns also fire their GM.
Dorkington Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 It makes me nervous that other teams are making decisive moves, yet the Bills haven't peeped a word. Demote Chan to play designer, lets get a real HC and OC, and maybe even GM.
BuffaloBillsForever Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 (edited) Buddy Nix and Chan Gailey flying out to Detroit for end of year meeting with Ralph Wilson. This is a standard meeting but their future with the team should be conclusive by today. Edited December 31, 2012 by BuffaloBillsForever

Demote Chan to play designer, lets get a real HC and OC, and maybe even GM. we have followed pretty much the same exact formula annually for quite some time now. coach breaks down the last game, everyone flies out to detroit on monday, every 3rd year the flight back is a little less crowded.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 Buddy Nix and Chan Gailey flying out to Detroit for end of year meeting with Ralph Wilson. Perhaps that portends of an announcement on each of their fates sometime today.
apuszczalowski Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 due to the rooney rule we have to call it white monday just for today No, they had to call it black monday first, then the rest of the days of the week can be whatever you want to call them
NoSaint Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Perhaps that portends of an announcement on each of their fates sometime today. thats pretty much standard issue. if it lasts til tuesday id be surprised. anything else would be out of the ordinary.
zonabb Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 ESPN Insider's rumors on Cleveland mention Whaley as a GM target.
whateverdude Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 (edited) nine winning seasons and playoff appearances, five NFC championship games and a Super Bowl in the last 12 years. Sounds like a coach the Bills can only dream of. Edited December 31, 2012 by whateverdude
