26CornerBlitz Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Ahead of tomorrow, reports say Andy Reid is out in Philly: @USATODAY BREAKING: Source: Andy Reid out as Eagles head coach; official announcement coming Monday http://usat.ly/W9Kj40 No real surprise.
Max997 Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Although expected I'm surprised this has leaked already considering the relationship between Lurie and Reid. You would think Lurie would meet with Reid first before announcing this I think Munchak and Swartz are safe, prob Allen with Raiders as well but there are def going to be a lot of openings
26CornerBlitz Posted December 30, 2012 Author Posted December 30, 2012 Any chance Reid is on our list? I think the better question is, are the Bills on his list?
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 If I'm the Lions, Schwartz is out tomorrow. Their 4-12 was considerably more unexpected than the Bills' 6-10 and the need for a change of culture is obvious to even the layman.
OhIDunno Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 wake me up when chan´s release is reported You're in for some serious rest then!

It doesn't take long to say "you're fired."
disco Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 I think the better question is, are the Bills on his list? Nah, he's not in that elite air that he'd ignore a call from the Bills.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 30, 2012 Author Posted December 30, 2012 According to this source, Reid was fired before the game today. He decided to coach anyway. http://deadspin.com/5972116/andy-reid-was-fired-before-todays-game-coached-anyway?
Hazed and Amuzed Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Just say no to Andy Reid, the only guy who loves to pass more than Gailey.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 30, 2012 Author Posted December 30, 2012 Just say no to Andy Reid, the only guy who loves to pass more than Gailey. I agree, don't want Reid in Buffalo.
disco Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 I'm not some kind of Reid fan, but I know we could do a lot worse. He's not my first pick if I can have any coach, but sadly we will not be in that situation.

peterpan Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 (edited) http://profootballta...n-jeopardy-too/ Id rather get rid of Nix than Gailey. I think Nix has failed immensely and if he hadn't even Gailey could have gotten us to the playoffs (Gronk, Dalton/Wilson, Watt, getting more for Lynch) Edited December 31, 2012 by peterpan
26CornerBlitz Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 (edited) Pioli expected to remain Chiefs GM, Crennel reported to be out. http://www.nfl.com/n...ted-to-keep-job Pioli has done a poor job, surprised he'll survive. Todd Haley and Crennel as his HC choices = failure. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/eye-on-football/21474029/2012-black-monday-coaching-hot-seat-tracker Edited December 31, 2012 by 26CornerBlitz
26CornerBlitz Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 @AdamSchefter Jags owner Shahid Khan announced that the team is parting ways with general manager Gene Smith. HCs to be fired today include Andy Reid, Pat Shurmur, Norv Turner, Romeo Crennel.
Corp000085 Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 According to this source, Reid was fired before the game today. He decided to coach anyway. http://deadspin.com/...coached-anyway? Nice mention of Lindy Ruff!
BuffaloBillsForever Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 (edited) Early Firings Jags GM Romeo Crennel (Chiefs coach) Pat Shurmur (Browns) Andy Reid Norv Turner Probable Firings Cheifs GM Ron Riviera (panthers coach) Mike Munchack (Titans Coach) Chain Gailey On the hot seat Jim Schwartz (Lions Coach) Buddy Nix Rex Ryan Jason Garrett This could be a recording setting year. Not a good year for a small market team like the Bills to try to land a big name head coach. Demand > Supply. BTW the list of head coaches suck that are coming or potentially coming onto the market (above). Demand becomes even greater and supply dwindles when the best coaches are either coming from retirement or the college ranks. Not many "up and coming assistants" either in the NFL to choose from.
