eball Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Jesus, I don't even want to consider the possibility, but what will happen around here if BOTH of these guys keep their jobs? I'm "ok" with it if Nix stays but Gailey (and Wannstedt) go...but the thought of Gailey returning after going 16-32 and only beating one team with a winning record sickens me. I will keep my tickets only because I'm loyal to the core and it won't break my budget, but what will others do?
Dirtbag Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 I will keep my tickets only because I'm loyal to the core and it won't break my budget, but what will others do? same thing i always do: vow not to buy the nfl ticket again, then cave in and do it just before the season starts.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 I actually think both will stay but wanny and maybe other coaches (dehaven?) will go. To perhaps placate the fans, maybe they can modkins and hire an OC with a pedigree and who will call plays ( like a mularkey or whisenhunt).
Reed83HOF Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Chan is gone. Nix depends on if he fires Chan or not...
Patience Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 (edited) Gailey will be gone by mid-week. Take it to the bank. And that likely won't even be the most significant change of the off-season. Edited December 30, 2012 by Patience
CodeMonkey Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 I still think they will both be back next season.
bisonbrigade Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 I WILL NOT WATCH THE BILLS IF CHAN IS THE COACH. I HAVE NOT WATCHED A BILLS GAME SINCE THE RAMS GAME AND WILL NOT WATCH THEM AGAIN. IF CHANS THE COACH I WILL ROUTE FOR THE JAGS.
nucci Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 After the '84 season and a 52-21 season ending loss to the Bengals, it was announced that Kay would be retained. I lost it and called the stadium and bitched and complained........I still kept my tickets

bananathumb Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 You mean 'when' not 'if'. Today saved them, i'd guess.
Patience Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 You mean 'when' not 'if'. Today saved them, i'd guess. Gailey is done. That decision was made before today's opening kickoff.
Rob's House Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Unless there's someone noteworthy who wants to come here I'd be okay with another year. Especially considering this is supposed to be the biggest market for coaches in years, it might not be the most ideal time to shop for one.
jjmac Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 (edited) I won't believe anything until see it. Who knows what's going through Ralph's mind? Edited December 30, 2012 by jjmac
Bufcomments Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 I think Russ Brandon knows ticket sales will be hurt if Chan stays. That's the bottom line. So I think Both are gone because of Chans record and Buddy giving Fitz that contract even though he sucks. At this point Id say 70/30 both are gone. I wont even bother watching the games if both are retained. Ill follow but I just cant get emotionally tied down after 13 yrs of crap.
thewildrabbit Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Hey, RW kept Jauron for a fourth season, so it wouldn't surprise me. I'd just be elated if Nix, Gailey, Wannstedt are all fired and replaced. I look at teams like the 11-5 Colts and think...maybe, just maybe. Recall that the Colts were 2-14 last year, fired their entire staff. Along with noted president Bill Polian, his son who was GM. A clean sweep to go 11-5 and playoffs

nucci Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 As will most now if ChaNix both return next season. While there was no way to know, I was rewarded a few years later.
Bufcomments Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 It's taken you this long? This season I checked out after the second Pats game. My love for football is deep. I will always watch them play. But once they get out of the playoff race I find other things to do on Sundays.
Mr_Blizzard Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Fitz can stay as a back up. The Bills - it pains me to say this - need to (yet again) jettison the coaching staff and start over. (ya - old news - I know) Think about this: even if we'd had a good quarterback the past 3 seasons, and made it to the playoffs this year, do you think that Chan could match wits with the other coaches in the playoffs?
