mitchmurraydowntown Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 I didn't see it mentioned anywhere but the Bills could use AZ / Cleve to win. This moves them out of a tie with us & allows us to draft ahead of them in all the draft rounds. Browns vs Pittsburgh Arizona vs San Fran

Saint Doug Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Good frickin luck to us (unless they rest their starters).
Fan in San Diego Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 I can see those teams maybe winning.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 I can see those teams maybe winning. Cleveland maybe over Pitt with nothing on the line. AZ over the Niners with a chance for the second seed and needing the game for the NFC west title...NFW.
Fan in San Diego Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Cleveland maybe over Pitt with nothing on the line. AZ over the Niners with a chance for the second seed and needing the game for the NFC west title...NFW. AZ would love to be the spoiler for San Fran. No love lost there.
SBUffalo Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 We would need the Titans, Browns and Cardinals to win to break the tie with everybody and lockup the 6th, maybe 5th pick in each round. But to be honest, I think we're going to win tomorrow...
26CornerBlitz Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 AZ would love to be the spoiler for San Fran. No love lost there. True, but AZ is horrid and I'll bet they'll be running for the bus.
Talley56 Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Could see the Browns maybe winning but I just don't see the Cardinals beating the Niners even given how badly SF got whopped last week. Maybe we'll get lucky and neither them, Jacksonville, nor KC will want Manti Te'o.
KD in CA Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 True, but AZ is horrid and I'll bet they'll be running for the bus. Yup. Plus, after the ass pounding they took last week @ Seattle, Harbaugh will have the Niners ready to destroy someone.
buffaloboyinATL Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 True, but AZ is horrid and I'll bet they'll be running for the bus. They usually play San Fran pretty close, regardless of their record.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 (edited) They usually play San Fran pretty close, regardless of their record. AZ QB situation is one of the few in the NFL worse than the Bills. I'm betting that it won't be as close as this: http://www.49ers.com.../2012/regular8/ Edited December 30, 2012 by 26CornerBlitz

This moves them out of a tie with us & allows us to draft ahead of them in all the draft rounds. Browns vs Pittsburgh Arizona vs San Fran Buffalo is assured of finishing ahead of Browns and Cardinals if they all lose because of tie breaker being strength of schedule. If bills lose they are certain of 6th.... If the lose and either eagles or Lions lose they are certain to go to 5 If both lose they go to 4th.

If bills lose they are certain of 6th.... If the lose and either eagles or Lions lose they are certain to go to 5 If both lose they go to 4th. That is correct...strength of schedule is the first tiebreaker in draft order, unlike playoff seeding. The fact we played Arizona and Cleveland and won this season has no bearing on it. Packerland Bills Fan Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 I expect the Bills to beat the Jets this week. These meaningless, head for the bus games are the ones they most likely seem to win.
Gray Beard Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 I wouldn't pin any hope on the Browns. According to ESPN they are going to fire everybody next week and they aren't trying to be coy about it. Not much to play for at this point. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8791683/cleveland-browns-let-go-coach-pat-shurmur-gm-tom-heckert-report-says

When I put in my 2 weeks notice and coast - I'm not on tv auditioning for my next job.

When I put in my 2 weeks notice and coast - I'm not on tv auditioning for my next job. I was thinking about that. Nobody wants to look like they don't care on national tv and in front of scouts from other teams. It just seems like it will be awfully hard to give a cohesive team effort if you know that the coaching staff is going to be fired.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 When I put in my 2 weeks notice and coast - I'm not on tv auditioning for my next job. And how often does this happen?
Formerly Allan in MD Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Their fans don't want them to win either. Better yet, their incentive to win is about the same as ours.
