Nanker
Just came back from seeing "The Life of PI". Nice visuals there. Tents full of peanuts and a heard of pachyderms meandering through them wasn't one of them though. But they're one of the best species on the planet. I hope they're well taken care of with some of that $9.3m. Maybe they could spring for some :beer:to go with those peanuts! KD in CA
BRAVO!!! Might I respectfully request a better thread title? This is a fantastic job by the courts to blunt these abusive lawsuits and give Feld the power to force a settlement. It's a shame this won't be publicized more and the public will continue to be foolish enough to hand money to the nutjobs who run these quasi-terrorist 'animal rights' groups. San Jose Bills Fan
Vodka not beer, There were some elephants saved in Russia when weather was freezing by giving them lots of vodka. On one hand, alcohol does have caloric value and in small doses is a central nervous system stimulant. On the other hand it's a vaso-dilator which will actually make an animal lose body temp. But if they're freezing and starving probably a bit with food would be helpful. BRAVO!!! This is a fantastic job by the courts to blunt these abusive lawsuits and give Feld the power to force a settlement. It's a shame this won't be publicized more and the public will continue to be foolish enough to hand money to the nutjobs who run these quasi-terrorist 'animal rights' groups. In this particular case, yes. There are animal rights organizations that do good work however and the abuse of pachyderms is fairly widespread (why anyone would abuse an animal that is intelligent and can crush you is beyond me btw). As you know not all animal rights groups or cases ought to be lumped as one. Nor all pro-gun groups or what have you. Lots of people are against abortion but don't condone the assassination of physicians who perform them for example. Let's not start painting all similar groups with the same brush.
