Dr. Trooth Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 ... The Bills will have given up the most points in their history. An endorsement for continuity.
VABills Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Its because Fitz is the problem, right? When you give the other team extra chances like he does, yes.
Sisyphean Bills Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Its because Fitz is the problem, right? exactly. you should win even if the D gives up 50 pts and 50% on 3rd down
billsfan714 Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 When your threatening Bills records for futility, well thats quite an accomplishment Wanny.
boyst Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 When you give the other team extra chances like he does, yes. Oh, trust me, I know. If we could hold on to the ball longer and control the clock it'd be different. I do not just look at his turnovers as part of this, though. I look at our lack of a running game and our lack of execution on offense.
K-9 Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Its because Fitz is the problem, right? You are wasting your breath I'm afraid. Regardless of your offense's ability to control the ball and score points, your defense has to GET ITSELF OFF THE FIELD! A look at our ability to do that suggests we are among the worst in the league. Our defense has sucked early in games as much as late in games. Especially against good teams. So stamina is not a factor here. Here's a novel idea: how about the defense helping the offense instead? You know by getting off the field. Or NOT giving up lots of points and forcing the offense to be one-dimensional far sooner in a game than they should be? As bad as Fitz and our offense are, the defense is that much worse and is the main reason we continue to suck as bad as we have. GO BILLS!!!
Meathead Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 i dont think theres ever been a bigger discrepancy between what i expected a defense to be and what we got
Hazed and Amuzed Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Its because Fitz is the problem, right? I held this position up until about the 10th game this season. Fitz is NOT the only problem but he is part of the problem. IMO the order of problems not involving Ralph Wilson are: Coaching Fitz OLB CB WR SS Halfway through the season I would've put MLB up there but I think Sheppard has stepped his game up recently and may be a decent LB in a better system.
PromoTheRobot Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 (edited) When you give the other team extra chances like he does, yes. So turnovers by SJ and FJ are okay? DISCLAIMER: NOT EXCUSING FITZ! PTR Edited December 24, 2012 by PromoTheRobot
VABills Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 So turnovers by SJ and FJ are okay? DISCLAIMER: NOT EXCUSING FITZ! PTR No but Fitz in 3.5 years (there is that damn number again) is already only 3 INT's behind Dennis Shaw on most INT's in Bills history. He also is averaging 8 fumbles a year. He by himself is giving away the ball at a rate of nearly 2 turnovers a game. Is that acceptable to you?
peterpan Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 (edited) So turnovers by SJ and FJ are okay? DISCLAIMER: NOT EXCUSING FITZ! PTR Are SJ or FJ top 3 in the league in turnovers the past 3 seasons? No they aren't But someone else on our team is. Turnovers are a part of football. They are going to happen. Neither SJ or FJ fumble regularly (FJ did have a down year tho this year). Fitz on the other hand throws INTs regularly and in the same situations again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again. While fumbles are bad, I can give a pass to a guy like SJ who has fumbled twice in his entire. http://www.nfl.com/player/stevejohnson/768/profile. Edited December 24, 2012 by peterpan
Dean Cain Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Solution dont turn the ball over. Why Chan has been fine with Fitzturnover is beyond me. Chan is the only constant in all this.
