Virgil Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 It's interesting to me how quite the board has been over the past few weeks. Even I like to post "The Bills lost to .... because" posts, yet over the past two weeks I've either fell asleep during the games or just didn't care enough to break the games down. It's almost as if the Bills have beaten the outrage out of us. All I can think about is the hope at the beginning of the season, the hope when everyone else was terrible and we still had a shot, and the completely ridiculous hope that we could win out 5 of our last 6 games. For me though, it's shock. No matter what, outside of QB, I never thought we would have to blow it all up again. I really do believe in continuity. I believed that a new qb, maybe a few new position coaches, and some small things would be enough to give us a fire to put us back over the top. When you look at what Luck did for the Colts and Harbaugh did for the 49ers, it's easy to have faith that we aren't that far away. But when you watch these last few games and see the lack of fire. That last four minute drill against the Dolphins pretty much summed it up for me. I mean, they knew they were losing right? That, plus our record, the record of our Head Coach, the record of the opponents we did beat, and the points margin we lost against to the good teams......what other choice is there? The players have given up. Chan has to go just for that. If they were just fighting for him at all. If the defense kept up their hot streak. If any of those things happened, then you keep them. And, I admit that all of this negative talk about this upcoming draft being so weak at QB is starting to get to me. I get that our defense looked poor. But I still believe that the right coach would turn that around. Absolutely I do. Sure, get another CB and LB, but they can be rounds 2-5. But the fact that we NEED a qb and everyone is dogging on them is bringing me down. I still think that the offseason hype will bring these guys back up. Mike Glennon is someone that everyone keeps talking about as an offseason riser. Don't know anything about him though. But still, I just want someone. I really want Geno. But right now, all 4 teams ahead of us also need a QB. So, either none of these guys do anything to improve their stock, or no one will trade with us because they need the exact same thing. Dunno. No point to this. Just thoughts....
mead107 Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 I think we have some good players on this team. For some reason the coaching staff is just not getting it put together. Who would have thought that Dave w. would be such a bust as the DC. most people thought that would be the strength of this team.
