BillsVet Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 That would be great!!! Vince Lombardi Jr. is available and only 65, so he'd fit right in.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Vince Lombardi Jr. is available and only 65, so he'd fit right in. Well as long as he's a chip of the old block of granite. BTW, that would be a tough deal, being the son of Lombardi.
marauderswr80 Posted December 24, 2012 Author Posted December 24, 2012 Thurman says 3 weeks we'd know! Gruden gives espn 2 weeks notice!
filthymcnasty08 Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Boy, it's going to cost the Eagles a ton....
MaineMoxie Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 How can this be when Seifert was seen at the airport? Gruden actually was on Seifert's staff with the Niners in 1990 (and in 11 years of head coaching he's only had two losing seasons).
Dorkington Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 A new coach won't matter as long as we still have the same Owner and GM.
TheKickIsGood Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 I'm hearing the same as Marauderswr80
marauderswr80 Posted December 24, 2012 Author Posted December 24, 2012 I'm hearing the same as Marauderswr80 Mean i wont get banned now? Thanks for backing me!
purple haze Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Well as long as he's a chip of the old block of granite. BTW, that would be a tough deal, being the son of Lombardi. His grandson used to coach with the Saints several years ago.
voodoo poonani Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 He's probably just using the Bills to drive up his market price
Best Player Available Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 (edited) Maybe Grudens doing a season ending expose on his quarterback segment of Fitz. There just working out details. The nite before Xmas eve. As backwards, inept, and pathetic this franchise operates at times. Can anyone fathom a coach hiring, while Gailey and the boys are probably in the air returning, and having to play a game next week? A extremely rare event in any sport such a douchy move. Something doesn't smell right but then again maybe Brandon is desperate already for his shiny 2013 toy to pimp out. Edited December 24, 2012 by Best Player Available
filthymcnasty08 Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Gruden actually was on Seifert's staff with the Niners in 1990 (and in 11 years of head coaching he's only had two losing seasons). In all honesty Gruden would have LUNGED at Russell Wilson in the 3rd.....so of course I hope this is true.....at least the man can spot a great one.
JPS Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 If you are John Gruden, why in the world would you take the Buffalo job.? Crickets....
marauderswr80 Posted December 24, 2012 Author Posted December 24, 2012 Lol!! I love that part of christmas vacation! If you are John Gruden, why in the world would you take the Buffalo job.? Crickets.... Cause he sees talent not being used properly!
thebandit27 Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 If this is true, and I find it highly suspect given the timing of things, then the Bills better have a back-pocket style minority candidate available for a courtesy interview, or they're going to be docked draft picks or fined pretty good for not taking the Rooney Rule seriously. Just a thought. He's probably just using the Bills to drive up his market price Just like Mario Williams, right? This argument is really stupid. If you are John Gruden, why in the world would you take the Buffalo job.? Crickets.... Because it's a head coaching job in the NFL, and generally NFL coaches get paid lots of money to do what they love.
marauderswr80 Posted December 24, 2012 Author Posted December 24, 2012 You are correct about the rooney rule! Like i said rumor only!
ExWNYer Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Lol!! I love that part of christmas vacation! Me, too. FWIW, I hope you're right but my first thought was similar to what 'thebandit27' posted...what about the 'Rooney Rule'? Any minority candidate interview would seem like a total sham if they really were hell bent on Gruden. We shall see, I guess. Happy holidays!
Omar Little Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Why isn't Gruden meeting with the general manager? Oh, right, because this is a made-up story.
