McElroy is the obvious choice that everyone expected 2 weeks ago. The Jets think Tebow is worthless and can't wait till the season is over so they can cut him.

That's about the worst possible approach for that team now.

 

Tebow looks good, they are stuck with them. Tebow looks bad, they look like idiots and didnt even get to evaluate McElroy.

This will be the way the marketing department will try to hype the offseason and get people interested back into buying tickets and merchandise.

 

Tebow will come cheap in the way of a 4th round pick or later. Also keep the media off Chan and Nix going into next season. Russ Brandon works his magic once again.

you dont have an argument, You said their risk was looking like idiots, as if they dont already.

Hopefully when Jim Kelly takes over as Owner/GM/Coach he gets this done. If this falls through they can trade Fitzpatrick for RG3. Don't let us down Jim!

This is what winning organizations and apparently even medicore teams like the Jets do. The Ravens canned their O-Coordinator when they were first in their divisions, while the Bills sit here with now the 2nd worst starter in the NFL, and the worst head coach, and refuse to make any changes. LET TJ PLAY QB THE LAST TWO GAMES. It's not that complicated. Fitz is not the answer, perhaps not the answer as a backup. Lets see what TJ can do.

Sometimes it's like you don't even read.... The "they look like idiots" part might have been the only 4 words in the entire post that weren't part of the actual argument. You could delete them entirely and it wouldn't change my point one bit. But i wouldve missed a chance to call them idiots. Yet those are the 4 words you are hanging on most. Ill keep it simple, here's a summary:

 

Tebow plays well - bad because your handcuffed to him

Tebow plays bad - bad because you wasted a chance to see the other guy.

 

Tebow playing is no win, and ultimately, yes, because of that the jets were idiots to get him, to come full circle.... And sadly we ultimately agree... Atleast it's on the jets being idiots.
