Gisele Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Most NFL stadiums have a jumbotron in the endzones where runners watch themselves and use this to avoid tackles on break aways runs. Most stadiums have about a 1/2 second delay between live action and what is being shown on the screen. In New England, the Patriots broadcast system is set up to show the play 1/2 second ahead of the live action. This clearly gives them an advantage and should be looked at by the NFL. Merry Christmas
Maddog69 Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 So, their jumbotron shows the play before it happens? That is some awesome technology.
Just in Atlanta Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 You mean like Nicolas Cage in Next? Sweet. They already had a good owner, a great coach, a franchise QB. Now they can see in the freakin future.

Merry Christmas So why doesnt the opposing team just look/hear the broadcast 1/2 second before the play starts, then it would be level. Gailey, "Guys, dont watch the players in front of you for the 1st half second of the play, look at the jumbotron. Now lets try to win today"

If Fitz can see his future INTs, then defenders can too, which means they'll see his next move too.

l< j Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 you want to know the key to there success? great coaching and great quarterback play, something they have had for over a decade and something we have not You left out the most important element: their ability to recognize sarcasm.
bobobonators Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Their owner is 23 years younger than Ralph lmao..and he's freaking old himself.
Mr. WEO Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 So, their jumbotron shows the play before it happens? That is some awesome technology. READ THE BOOK!!!

Merry Christmas 1/2 second ahead of the live action DUDE SIGN ME UP for that system!!!
Never NEVER Give-up Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Key to Patriots success??? How about hiring a decent defensive coach and then falling backasswards into a 7th round gangly QB who turns out to be one of the best QB's the NFL has ever seen? I think that's how they did it!! If someone copies this method, it'll be the 1st time.
truth on hold Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 I think that's why the league destroyed the spy gate tapes. What they really showed was pats advanced technology transmitting opposition play calling ahead of the actual call.
Maury Ballstein Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 I wonder if Bill Belichek transports to and fro the stadium in his back to the future Delorean. take off the foil hat...........conspiracy theories! awesome
Homey D. Clown Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 The key to the patriot's success is very simple: they don't have RUSS BRANDON trying to shirk the team away from foxboro.

Merry Christmas Yea that is why they are so great? Really? You know what the secret to their success really is? A great owner, a great coach, a great quarterback-all 3 of which the Bills are at the opposite end of the spectrum on. That is the differences between the Pats continued success and the Bills continued futility. A scoreboard? Really? Wow? Show a play before it happens? If that was the case their defense wouldn't be at the bottom of the league almost every year.
filthymcnasty08 Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 READ THE BOOK!!! Lead balloon WEO......you're soooo close to comic gold - like the Bills are close to being a playoff team.

If Fitz can see his future INTs, then defenders can too, which means they'll see his next move too. Better yet, when the receivers see ahead of time that Fitz can't get the ball to them, they can save their energy and not bother to run 60 yards downfield.

Agree with 2 and 3...From the owners perspective, I am not sure if Robert Kraft is any different than Ralph Wilson. Both are NFL owners in it for the profit. Nothing more and nothing less!
