K-9 Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Pete Carroll is full of schit. He regrets nothing about that play. He only regrets not having a chance to get 60 today. GO BILLS!!!
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Sounds like the same BS different day. he regrets the fallout from it. did you seem him giddy like a school girl on the sideline after they pulled it off, laughing it up with this ST coach?
KD in CA Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Whatever. 'Running up the score' accusations are for overmatched school children, not professionals who are being paid millions of dollars to play the game at a competent level.
dayman Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Whatever most Bills fans on this board liked it and wanted it to get as bad as possible by that point...not at the start of the game but by that point we all wanted it to be bad.
pepsicat Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Wish we had a coach with some balls to do something like this or actually I wish we had a team that actually won games to put the coaches in the situation to even consider something like this.
boyst Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 That move wasn't brave or classy. If he wanted to be brave and still try to score dont fake a punt. Keep your O out there. Classier move and less risky. No need to ruin a special teams play or player.
shrader Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I didn't watch, but I have to wonder why they would want something like that on film.
NoSaint Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I didn't watch, but I have to wonder why they would want something like that on film. Because future teams will need to stay honest helping the hawks down the line?
Beebes Bubble Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Blaming Carroll is ridiculous. Blame the Bills offense, defense, special teams, and coaching. It was all around suckitude and they deserved what they got.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 That move wasn't brave or classy. If he wanted to be brave and still try to score dont fake a punt. Keep your O out there. Classier move and less risky. No need to ruin a special teams play or player. Exactly. It was an idiotic decision as a tactical matter, and that made it even more classless. He basically did something that hurt his team in the long run (i.e., lose a good play) solely in order to rub it in in a 40-point win.
truth on hold Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 He apologized (sort of). How many coaches even do that? Let it go folks
Meathead Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 didnt really matter that it was against the bills, that would be cheesy against any team. im glad it wasnt my coach that did that
Santana Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Pete Carrol is a D-Bag for that move, you just don't do that st at this level. If you think what he did was alright and it was our fault you should just stick to college ball. It's one thing to run up the score just by playing against us naturally, but when you pull a FAKE PUNT out when you're up 30pts in the fourth quarter is just classless.
JPS Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I'd rather have my coach scrambling for answers on running up the score that getting blown out (again).
KOKBILLS Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 (edited) Honestly one of the purest bush-league moves I've ever seen...And I've been watching the NFL WAY too long...It was REAL classless...It made me FAR more angry than what his great football team did to the pathetic Bills...When you have a great team playing the way they were playing, how do you pull a move like that? Incredible douche-baggery... Edited December 17, 2012 by KOKBILLS
Sisyphean Bills Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I wonder what it feels like to run up the score...
ExiledInIllinois Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Honestly, he said it was part of the game plan. All part of the beast but, nobody pulled the plug. Can you really blame him for that? The system is built for the sake of the system. Just goes to show you that the game plan and what a team does, down to every last play, is all decided well before the first foot kicks a football! I wonder what it feels like to run up the score... Yeah... Been such a long time since that Raiders Championship Game @ Rich!
