ChevyVanMiller
Thought I'd have a little fun with two of my favorite (favourite?) SCTV characters. "Bob McKenzie: What a big week, eh? American football – that’s with 4 downs and no 55-yard line – comes to Canada for a big showdown at Rogers Centre – that’s with an “re” at the end, you American hosers." http://niagarahub.fa...y/nfl-football/ Edited December 15, 2012 by ChevyVanMiller

Spun
Mark my words, one of these days the Grey Cup / Coupe de Gris will be decided by a rouge. Then all hell will break lose. Take off!

ExiledInIllinois
Mark my words, one of these days the Grey Cup / Coupe de Gris will be decided by a rouge. Then all hell will break lose. Take off! BUT... They (the receiving team) would have nobody to blame BUT themselves... IMO, a rouge is so easily prevented... What I understand... One can even kick it out of your end zone ala rugby? No? CA COO COO COO CA COO COO COO! CA, COO COO COO CA COO COO COO! Hitting the Elsinore brewskis a bit early I see... ;-) :-P
Buffalo Barbarian
"Bob: Take off, eh? Everybody knows they’re named after President Bill Clinton and his girlfriend Monica Lewinsky, ‘cuz she’s the only one that got away with sucking for so long. Bob and Doug (clicking beers): Cheers!" what is all that "coo loo coo ... " stuff?
ExiledInIllinois
what is all that "coo loo coo ... " stuff? That is the song/intro... They'd do it in the SCTV sketch too, right? The show/sketch: The Great White North http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USRfZluplJA Check out the stubby beer bottles... Late 1970's/early 80's before longnecks became standard! My father owned a bar/restaurant and longnecks were all he had regardless of brand. It seems that there was one beer with a different bottle but I can't remember what it was...& of course OV splits. It seems that there was one beer with a different bottle but I can't remember what it was...& of course OV splits. What did the bottle look like? I have been here in Chicago for 20+ years... Even here, I stumble/dig up a "stubby bottle" from time to time when mowing @ work. I suppose you are very much right about the longnecks. Like from the Eagles song, All Night Long: "We like a longneck and a good ole song!" Coors... The West and country probably started the movement... Easier to "fight" with, longnecks that is! ;-)
