Wooderson Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 This is absolutely horrible. What in the world is wrong with people? "1:09 p.m.: Twenty-seven people, or more, most of them children killed in shooting, sources tell ABC News." http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2012/12/live-updates-newtown-ct-school-shooting/
Doc Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 18 of them children and the shooter is dead. Even more horrible because it's close to home.
gomper Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 I'm numb. I Can't imagine what the parents are going through right now waiting to see if their kid is ok. Prayers to all.
NoSaint Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 18 of them children and the shooter is dead. Even more horrible because it's close to home. Just heard 20 kids 10 adults. Might be growing still, might just be loose estimates.... Sad.
Captain Hindsight Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 (edited) There is a special place in hell for this person My heart goes out to the victims Truly horrible Edited December 14, 2012 by Captain Hindsight
shrader Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Absolutely mind-numbing. I can't even imagine what it would take to make someone do something like this. This one takes evil to a whole new level.
NoSaint Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 There is a special place in hell for this person My heart goes out to the victims Truly horrible And those will be far reaching today - families all over that community (likely his own counted in this) will have to bury their children. Those kids will have empty seats in their classrooms for a decade reminding them of what happened.
nemhoff Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 As a father of three, two of whom are in elementary school, I cannot fathom the pain of this. What the hell is wrong with people?
dhg Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 (edited) Absolutely horrific. My heart goes out to all the victims and the families. Edited December 14, 2012 by dhg

Those kids will have empty seats in their classrooms for a decade reminding them of what happened. I hate speculating on this, but I wouldn't be surprised to find out that it was an entire class. Someday we'll find out this shooter's motivation and we will all collectively slam our heads against the wall.
drinkTHEkoolaid Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Literally sick to my stomach over this
dhg Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Literally sick to my stomach over this I feel the exact same way.
dib Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 I hope the shooter rots in hell. I worry that this kind of event is only the tip of the iceberg
ExiledInIllinois Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 I can't imagine the pain. Right now my family is staring at the fact that we may lose our father... Yet he is in his late 70's with health issues. I just can't fathom the grief of losing a child this way... So helpless. So sad...
shrader Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 I hope the shooter rots in hell. I worry that this kind of event is only the tip of the iceberg That's too good of an outcome for this shooter. He deserves a level of punishment beyond anything we can even think of.
gomper Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 This POS mother was a teacher at the school. Shot her and the kids. This is horrific. Not only the parents but imagine the siblings of the little ones killed and wondering where their brother/sister is and when they're coming home. I'm sick.
ExiledInIllinois Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 The one thing we should take from this is too not let the hate in all of our hearts consume us too! Let God grant us the power to be strong!
RkFast Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 What kind of a society and culture have we created where such evil can propagate and flourish over and over and over? Something is seriously wrong.
kegtapr Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Literally sick to my stomach over this That's a very overused phrase for news stories, but this time it fits perfectly. I'm horrified at this and I can generally detach myself from major events without much emotion.
