We’ve learned a lot about the mindset of our head coach over the past 2.5 years and I started thinking what’s going to happen when we get the next rookie QB in here (hopefully next year). Does anyone here really think that he’s got a legit shot to start opening day, assuming he's worthy? I’m fairly certain there won’t be any open competition for the job in training camp and Fitz will still be the starter. Guarantee the guy won’t even see the field when Fitz is crapping the bed early in the season. Chan has that old school mentality which says that veterans will always get the benefit of the doubt and younger players need to wait their turn even if they’re more talented…see CJ situation. You see young QB’s starting in their first year quite a bit now and they learn on the job and are better for it by mid-season. I just don’t think Chan is open to that.

Hypothetical: Bills drafted Russell Wilson in the third round last year instead of TJ Graham. Would Wilson be the starter today?

He has a new QB now and has not even dressed him yet.

Yes, but that's back up in my opinion who is no better than Fitz. I'm talking about a possible franchise guy

If Chan is here next year he will continually lie to the fan-base (as he has this year regarding Spiller) and state that the QB cannot grasp his "complex" offense, which apparently every defense in the league has no problem grasping. He will then point out how well Fitz does in a few games (against loosing, pathetic teams like KC) as a reason to keep him as the starter. I'm sick of Chan, he sucks, and he flat out lies to the fans. I also dislike Nix for not firing him. The freaking Ravens are leading their division and can their OC because they felt they could upgrade. We are headed for perhaps the most disappointing Bills season in history (and that's saying a LOT) and Gailey is still around. Russ Brandon has his work cut out for him if these two clowns are around next year. No FA acquisition or draft pick is likely to sell tickets. They got Mario and Anderson, nothing changed in the W-L collum. Everyone knows the problem is Chan, and if Nix can't see it he needs to go as well.

RGIII would probably still be on the bench and when the fans asked why, we’d be told “he’s not ready yet”.

Yep. So would Andrew Luck, and some lesser veteran journeyman would be starting ahead of him.

Agree on everything you're saying except i don't think he's lying to the fans. In his own mind, he truly believes what he's saying.

We need a fundamental philosophical change in our head coaches. Why do we continue to hire these guys that play not to lose, who are constantly afraid of making a mistake. You haven't won in 13 years. Take a shot at the end zone. Go for it on 4th down. Kick a 50+ yard field goal. Play your most dynamic players. Draft and start a rookie quarterback. What do you have to lose??? It's so infuriating.

Two points:

1. I hope I won't need to learn what Chan would do with a new QB next year because I am hoping that Chan is not in Buffalo next year.

2. I was a big advocate of drafting Kirk Cousins in the 3rd round of this past draft. It did not happen. I doubt that either Russell Wilson or Kirk Cousins would have started the season as the Bills QB if they had been drafted, but I am betting that they would be in therenow if they were on the team.

You've got more faith in the guy than i do. I'd expect that either of them would still be holding a clipboard. The fact is Chan doesn't think Fitz has played poorly and i don't think he'd bench him for a rookie.

How well did Chan do when his QB was Troy Aikman?

He tried to run the wildcat and Aikman told him "If you're going to take me out on third down, you better be prepared to leave me out cuz I ain't goin' back in." That was the end of that.

His new QB next year is actually quite similar to this year's QB... His name is Ryan Fitzpatrick and he is from Harvard....

Gailey and Fitz should be gone next year but sadly we will have to endure another losing season behind these two frauds..... BILLIEVE!!
