Marcus Lattimore mid/late rd selection?

With Lattimores decision today to declare for the draft, what are your thoughts on the selection of Lattimore this yr with an eye towards the future and a Clemson/Carolina backfield for yrs to come?

 

For those not aware, Lattimore probably will not play in 2013 due to a nasty cheapshot that dislocated his knee and tore his lcl in october.

depending how things shake out, he seems like a good one. the knee injuries will drop him, and we very possibly will be spending some picks moving up. it might be a good chance to get extra value talent wise by risking a little on the injuries.

 

really depends on what the doctors say, and how far he slides.

Word on the street is that we're going to trade for the 23rd pick in the draft, and will select Lattimore with it.

I don't see the Bills taking him unless he were to slide to the 4th-5th round. I just don't see that happening. Before his injury, he was a consensus 1st round pick. As others have mentioned, some team with few needs will likely take a gamble on him in the 2nd or 3rd. I could see the Packers taking a chance on him.
