#34fan Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 (edited) Only the Seattle game is semi-questionable. I don't think you can have a better remaining schedule. So not really following you there. This team will win out for two reasons. 1.) Its worse for the franchise in the long run. 2.) When the game is out of hand the team plays better. I'm going to go with when the season is out of hand the team plays better. You're absolutely right on both counts. The only thing you didn't account for is Pete Caroll's mentality, and approach to this (*gulp*) -game. If I'm him, (Caroll) I'm reminding my guys that the ONLY THING that stands in the way of them, and a historic playoff berth. is the rag-tag group of downtrodden mu-taints with the learning-disabled coach, and the centegenarian owner. I would remind Marshawn that we not only failed to develop him, but also refused to accept him for his uh... habits. I would remind Russell Wilson that after a truly outstanding visit, we STILL tought he was too f***ing short. No offense to your fanhood, but after that I would expect the game to take on the characteristics of an EXTERMINATION, as opposed to an actual competition. To quote my favorite line from 300, -"This will not be quick... You WILL NOT enjoy this." With player-safety in mind, let's hope that the vivisection of AZ wasn't the warm-up for chilly Toronto. ChevyVanMiller Posted December 12, 2012 Author Posted December 12, 2012 Herbstreit Rebuttal: I think when you factor in Toronto has not exactly provided that "home game" flavour in the past, a very active front seven backed by a strong secondary, the obvious coaching advantage Seattle has and Seattle's knowledge there is a playoff game on the line, I have to give the edge to the Seahawks. That, and the 58 point spanking they laid down last week, I think it's safe to lean the Seahawks way this week.
PearlHowardman Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 12/09/2012: The date that it finally occurred to me that the Bills have a secret plan to leave Buffalo. The plan includes losing games that could have been won. A losing football organization is worth less than a successful football organization, thus the taxes would be lower. Something along these lines. There is simply NO other explanation! 12/16/2012: Folks, this team is being run by the tax accountants at One Bills Drive. I honestly think they're driving down the value of the team to avoid bigger taxes when the Bills are sold and move out of New York State. But still be competitive enough to sell some seats at home games. The owner is 94 years old and AWOL for games. The stadium lease expires in a year. It all addes up...or down. Don't blame Nix. Don't blame Gailey. Don't blame Fitzpatrick. And don't listen to Jim Kelly. There is simply NO other explanation!
angryfan62 Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 "Gailey is a bad coach whose fallback position is conservatism. If he had tried the two-pointer, the field goal or went for it on 4th and 7 and failed, most Bills’ fans would have at least felt that their team went down swinging. Instead, they tucked their tail between their legs and walked gingerly into the postseason protecting what is left of their ever-shrinking scrotums." http://niagarahub.co...season-apparel/ I agree mostly with the writers conclusions except for the 2 point conversion, I don't believe he could have foreseen us missing that.
PearlHowardman Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 The Buffalo Bills brand of football the last two games is NOT ordinary ineptitude. It's ineptitude (losing) by design. And the type of losing that we have had the past two games is NOT ordinary losing to gain a better draft position. It's much, much bigger. It's what the Bills tax attorneys want.
