Thailog80 Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 Nothing like trying to make chicken soup out of chicken crap... 192961 Exactly. Given that Lewis and Heap were out a lot this year he had even less to work with.

Alaska Darin Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 Exactly. Given that Lewis and Heap were out a lot this year he had even less to work with. 192963 They lost Musa Smith too. He'll land on his feet. Billick is grasping.
Mark VI Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 They lost Musa Smith too. He'll land on his feet. Billick is grasping. 192967 Matt. C is an ex- Pitt QB, like AVP. Bet he calls Wanny or vice-versa.
LabattBlue Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 Exactly. Given that Lewis and Heap were out a lot this year he had even less to work with. 192963 I hope Billick doesn't see this. His already huge ego, will get even bigger.
scribo Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 The fun thing, IMO, is that Jim Fassel is expected to replace Cavanaugh. Wasn't Fassel an assitant head coach for the same Ravens team all season? Doesn't that mean he had a lot of input into the offense as well? Why does one get canned and the other promoted if they are both to blame?

CCLXXIX Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 Not to be a Ravens apologist, but they are my "home" team. The Ravens offensive numbers speak for themselves. Ravens offensive rank during Matt Cavanaugh's six years: 1999, 24th, 298.6 2000, 16th, 313.4 2001, 14th, 320.3 2002, 24th, 289.9 2003, 21st, 308.1 2004, 31st, 273.4 Also regarding Fassel, he joined the Ravens to stay involved in the league, but he was not the offensive coordinator. He was strictly brought in as an offensive consultant to work with Boller and provide suggestions for the offense. His contract ended in December. *just for the record*
