Fezmid Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Just got this from FootballGuys: Hi Folks, Bad news for Buffalo as ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that Bills RB Fred Jackson suffered a torn medial collateral ligament that is likely to end his season. Thanks to Footballguy Cecil Lammey for the headsup.
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 (edited) Sad to say that it might even be a career ender. Freddy's got all the heart in the world but age has caught up to him and his body cannot hold up to the beating an NFL running back, even one splitting time, takes. Get well soon, Freddy. Much admiration. Edited December 10, 2012 by JÂy RÛßeÒ
BringBackFergy Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 That's too bad. I like Freddie. Obviously, it's too late to teach Chan to split the time between CJ and Freddie. The guy is flat out stubborn and blames CJ's lack of touches on him being "winded"....Bull$heet!!! Now he has no choice but to use CJ...just in time for us to win 3 games at the end of the season.....what a bonehead!!
eball Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 I hope Spiller puts some extra conditioning work in this week, to prepare his body for the 12-carry load he'll have to saddle next week in Toronto now that Fred is out.

Dean Cain Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 MCL is hardly a career ending injury. Fred needs to go to the Don Joy knee brace on his right knee. It worked for Thurman his whole career. No doubt Dirty 30's week 1 hit made Jackson's knee more suspectible to re injury.
Rubes Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 I agree, I don't think it's a career ender. Best case scenario is that he's back next year as a third down back, with Spiller carrying the load. But we all know that's dreaming.

This one injury on its own maybe not, but he's been carted off 3 of his last 8 or so games.
Haven Moses Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 At least Choice will get a turn now. Let's be fair about it.

Now if he took that time to figure out why he started fumbling that would be helpful. Didn't he have a long streak of touches without a fumble prior to 2012? His two fumbles took points of the board and cost wins they were killer.
bobobonators Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 somehow he'll still manage to get more touches than CJ in last 3 games.
Griz Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 So... what's the over/under on Choice getting more touches than CJ next week?
Joe Miner Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 And with the 10th pick in the 203 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select: Eddie Lacy, RB Alabama
Wayne Cubed Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 So... what's the over/under on Choice getting more touches than CJ next week? Somehow FJ, injured, will manage to STILL get more touches than Spiller.
Endless Ike Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Where are all the geniuses that said the 30 year old RB syndrome wasn't going to effect him because he wasn't playing in the NFL for all those years? Step up and be mocked.
Captain Hindsight Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Tow bad. He has had fumblities all year too.
Storm Front Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Goodie. Now we get to see more Tard Choice.
